Kang Sang-woo
Kang Sang-woo (; Hanja: 姜祥佑; born 7 October 1993) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a full-back or winger for Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan. Club career Kang joined Pohang Steelers in 2014 as a free agent rookie and go on to make his debut in a AFC Champions League group game on 18 March 2014 against Shandong Luneng Taishan in a 2-2 draw, where he came on as a late substitute. This would be followed by his first starting appearance, which was against Jeju United on 5 July 2014, in a league game that ended in a 0-0 draw. He would become a regular within the team until he was loaned out to Sangju Sangmu, the sports division of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, as part of his military service. Jeju United
Jeju United Football Club (Hangul: 제주 유나이티드) is a South Korean professional football club based in Jeju Province that competes in the K League 1, the top division in South Korea. In the past, the club has been known as the ''Yukong Elephants'' and ''Bucheon SK''. History An original member of the K League founded on 17 December 1982, the team was then called the Yukong Elephants. Yukong was owned and financially supported by the Sunkyoung Group's subsidiary, Yukong (currently SK Group's "SK Energy"), along with Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi as its franchise. 2020 K League 1
The 2020 K League 1 was the 38th season of the top division of professional football in South Korea since its establishment in 1983 as K League, and the third season under its current name, the K League 1. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors were the defending champions. They successfully defended their title and won a record-breaking eight K League championship. The regular season was scheduled to begin on 29 February and to end on 4 October, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The K League 1 season officially began on 8 May. On 24 April 2020, the Korean Professional Football Union (K League) confirmed that they would adopt a modified plan for the season, changing the regular season to 22 matches, and 5 Final Round matches per team. The 2018 K League 1 was the 36th season of the top division of professional football in South Korea since its establishment in 1983, and the sixth season of the K League 1, former K League Classic. The K League Classic was changed its name to "K League 1" in this season. As the 2018 FIFA World Cup start on 14 June, the last round before stoppage will be held on 19–20 May. The K League 1 (Hangul: K리그1) is the men's top professional football division of the South Korean football league system. The league is contested by twelve clubs. History The South Korean professional football league was founded in 1983 as the "Korean Super League", with five member clubs. The initial five clubs were Hallelujah FC, Yukong Elephants, Pohang Steelworks, Daewoo Royals, Kookmin Bank. Hallelujah FC won the inaugural title, finishing one point ahead of Daewoo Royals to lift the crown. 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualification – AFC Second Round
The AFC second round of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification, which also served as the second round of 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification, was played from 5 September 2019 to 15 June 2021. Format A total of forty teams were drawn into eight groups of five to play home-and-away round-robin matches.
