Aruna Lama
Aruna Lama (9 September 19454 February 1998) was an Indian-born Nepali language singer from Darjeeling. She is popularly known as 'Nightingale of the Hills'. She sang hundreds of Nepali songs, including some for Nepali film, and left an indelible mark as one of the best singers in Nepali music. Biography Lama was born on 9 September 1945 at Ghoom Pahar, Darjeeling, British India to Nepali parents Surya Bahadur Lama and Sanmaya Lama. Her uncle C.B. Shiva Sundar Shrestha ( ne, शिवसुन्दर श्रेष्ठ), known professionally as Shiva Shrestha, is a Nepali actor best known for his work in action films. He is renowned as the "action king" of Nepali cinema. Shanti Maskey ( ne, शान्ति मास्के;1928-2011), was a Nepali actress who acted in more than 50 films. She was one of the first actors of Nepali film industry. She was a recipient of Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, the second highest award awarded by the Kingdom of Nepal. Narayan Gopal Gurubacharya ( ne, नारायणगोपाल गुरबाचार्य) (4 October 1939 – 5 December 1990), known professionally as Narayan Gopal and N. Gopal was a prominent popular singer and composer of Nepali music. Gopal Yonzan, also spelled Yonjan, (26 August 1943 – 20 May 1997) was a Nepali lyricist, singer, and composer. He was known for his patriotic Nepali songs. His voice range allowed him to sing songs of every genre of Nepalese music. He belongs to the first generation of Nepali singers who became professional singers. His songs have also been used in several movies and dramas across the country. Gopal dedicated his entire life to creating music. The Vimala Temple or Bimala Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Vimala or Bimala (ବିମଳା), located within the Jagannath Temple complex in Puri in the Indian state of Odisha.
