Kampli
Kampli is a town in the Bellary district, Kampli taluk, in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is a headquarters of Kampli Taluk. The town is situated about 15 km away from Hampi. Administration Kampli is administered by a town municipal council. Economy Kampli is an economic hub for its surrounding villages. Every Tuesday vendors of various commodities assemble at the town's market. Kampli has nearly 20 rice mills and agriculture is the primary economic activity. The Tungabhadra River is a source of irrigation for most of Kampli's agricultural land. The major local crops are paddy, sugar cane, banana and coconuts. Bellary, officially known as Ballari (pronounced ), is a major district in Karnataka. It is located at north-eastern part of Karnataka. This district belongs to Kalyana-Karnataka. 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election
The 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election was held on 12 May 2018 in 222 constituencies to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The election was postponed in Jayanagar and Rajarajeshwari Nagar, following the death of the MLA B. N. Vijaya Kumar and a voter fraud scandal respectively till 28 May. The election saw a voter turnout of 72.13 per cent, the highest in Karnataka since 1952 assembly polls. The counting of votes took place on 15 May 2018. Hospet
Hospet also known as Vijayanagara is the largest city and district headquarters of the Vijayanagara district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River and is 13 km from Hampi. The present day Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Hosapete is the connecting link between North and South Karnataka. History Hosapete city was built in 1520 AD by Krishna Deva Raya, one of the prominent rulers of Vijayanagara Empire. Anegundi previously called Kishkindha is a village in the Gangavathi taluk, Koppal district in the Indian state of Karnataka, It is older than Hampi, situated on the northern bank of the Tungabhadra River. Huchappayana matha temple (with black-stone pillars and dance sculptures), Pampa Sarovar, Aramane (a ruined palace), Ranganatha temple, Kamal Mahal, and Nava Brindavana are the major attractions. Hirebenkal
Hirebenakal or Hirébeṇakal or Hirébeṇakallu (ಹಿರೇಬೆಣಕಲ್ಲು in Kannada) is a megalithic site in the state of Karnataka, India. It is among the few megalithic sites in India that can be dated to the 800 BCE to 200 BCE period. The site is located in the Koppal district, some west of the town of Gangavati and some from Hospet city. It contains roughly 400 megalithic funerary monuments, that have been dated to the transition period between Neolithic period and the Iron Age. Kempe Gowda I, locally venerated as Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda, or commonly known as Kempe Gowda, was a chieftain under the Vijayanagara Empire in early-modern India. He is famous for founding the present-day southern Indian city of Bangalore. Hubli Airport is a domestic airport serving the twin cities of Hubli and Dharwad in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated on Gokul Road, 8 kilometres from Hubli and from Dharwad.
