In linguistics, an affix is a morpheme that is attached to a word stem to form a new word or word form. Affixes may be derivational, like English ''-ness'' and ''pre-'', or inflectional, like English plural ''-s'' and past tense ''-ed''. They are bound morphemes by definition; prefixes and suffixes may be separable affixes. Kammersänger (male) or Kammersängerin (female), abbreviated Ks. or KS, is a German honorific title for distinguished singers of opera and classical music. It literally means "chamber singer". Historically, the title was bestowed by princes or kings, when it was styled ''Hofkammersänger(in)'', where ''hof'' refers to the royal court. ''Schatzkammer'', a German word which means "treasury" or "treasure chamber", is a term sometimes used in English for the collection of treasures, especially '' objets d’art'' in precious metals and jewels, of a ruler or other collector which are kept in a secure room and often found in the basement of a palace or castle. Fred Kammer
August Frederick Kammer Jr. (June 3, 1912 – February 21, 1996) was an American ice hockey player and amateur golfer. Ice Hockey In 1936 he was a member of the American ice hockey team, which won the bronze medal in the 1936 Winter Olympics. Golf Kammer was a noted amateur golfer. He played in the 1947 Walker Cup. Salome Kammer
Salome Kammer (born 17 January 1959 in Nidda, Hesse, West Germany) is a German actress, singer and cellist. Professional career Kammer was the fourth of six children. Her father was a Protestant pastor. Although born in Nidda, she grew up in Ober-Mockstadt, before her family moved to Frankfurt when she was eight. Kammer studied at the Folkwang Hochschule from 1977 to 1984, cello with Maria Kliegel and Janos Starker. She was a member of the Heidelberg theater from 1983. In 1988 she played the role of Clarissa Lichtblau in the film ''Die Zweite Heimat'', its sequel, '' Heimat 3'', and the complementary '' Fragments – The Women'' (''Fragmente – die Frauen''), by Edgar Reitz.
