Kami NAPO Muna
''Kami nAPO Muna'' is a tribute album to the 1970s Filipino musical group, APO Hiking Society. Released in 2006, the album features covers of APO Hiking Society songs, performed by a number of Filipino bands and artists. It was followed by a second tribute album, ''Kami nAPO Muna ULIT'', in 2007. Title The album's title, ''Kami nAPO Muna'', loosely translates to "our turn now" in Filipino; the phrase is also a play on the name ''Apo''. APO Hiking Society itself has used the word ''nAPO'' (''na pô'', the respectful form of "already") in many concerts, as well as on a noontime variety show. Concert A tribute concert sponsored by MYX Music Channel was held during the launch of the album, in honour of the trio's contributions to OPM Music. A two-disc limited edition set of ''Kami nAPO Muna'' has been released, with the second disc containing Apo Hiking Society's original versions of the tribute tracks. The band is composed of Yael Yuzon on vocals and guitars, Gosh Dilay on bass, Armo Armovit on guitars and drummer Tedmark Cruz. The Dawn is a Filipino rock band which first achieved commercial success during the late 1980s in the Philippines. The band broke up in 1995 with lead vocalist Jett Pangan forming another band, the Jett Pangan Group. The Dawn reunited in late 1999. Rocksteddy is a Filipino rock band signed to 12 Stone Records. History and singles Formerly known as Acoustic Faith, Rocksteddy was founded in March 2003 by fellow church members, a trio of Christian rockers including singer Teddy Corpuz, drummer Jeff Cucullo, and rhythm guitar Howie Ramos. In 2005, they decided to drop the Christian lyricism and acoustic style and turned to alternative rock. Corpuz however did not drop the spoken word element of their former music, which became the signature sound of Rocksteddy. Sound is an independent Filipino jazz band composed of Dru Ubaldo (drums), Erwin Fajardo (keyboards), Sach Castillo (vocals/guitars), and Francis Magat (bass). History In 1996, Paolo Lim, Chino Yuson, and Sach Castillo formed the band Third Stone, an allusion to a Hendrix grind. Later, the trio collaborated with percussionist David Esteban and keyboardist James Bitanga. Originally, the band intended to be a reggae outfit, but several compositions later, the group went into a different direction. In 1999, the band met Erwin Fajardo, to become the new keyboardist.
