Kami Paul (birth name: Kamran Paul) is a Pakistani musician. He is the drummer for the rock band Noori, , and has also appeared in Coke Studio season 9, season 11, and season 14. Early life Born in Karachi, Paul started experimenting with every utensil and furniture in his house around the age of 8. Paul draws his musical inspirations from Whitesnake, ABBA, Pink Floyd, Bee Gees, and gospel music during his visit to the church. Paul started formal training when he was 13. Career Early career Kami played for a number of mainstream artists including Zeb and Haniya, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Mekaal Hasan Band, Atif Aslam, Meesha Shafi et al. He is also an active band member of Noori since 2013 till date. Noori Since 2013, Kami Paul has been playing live and recording with Noori. Zeb And Haniya
Zeb and Haniya ( ps, زیب اور حانیا, pronounced as "Zayb aur Haa-nee-ya") was a Pakistani music duo from Kohat, active from 2007 to 2014. The pair have sung songs in Pashto, Urdu, Dari and Turkish, combining pop with folk music to create a diverse body of work. Their music has been described as alternative, art folk, ethnic blues and easy listening by international reviewers and critics. The band was a project started by two cousins, Zebunnisa Bangash and Haniya Aslam, both of whom are ethnic Pashtuns. Brought up with music, they began writing together when studying as undergraduates at Smith College and Mount Holyoke College in the United States. Coke Studio Pakistan (season 11)
The eleventh season of Pakistani music television series '' Coke Studio'', titled as Coke Studio: The Sound of Nation, premiered in Pakistan on 10 August 2018. Musicians Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi were announced as a new producers and directors for the series, after Strings stepped down from the role to pursue their own music. The series was produced under Kazi and Hamza's production company Front Foot Media and was distributed by The Coca-Cola Company Pakistan. As a part of new module, Kazi and Hamza created a spin-off series '' Coke Studio Explorer'' which was released on 3 July 2018 and featured regional but largely unknown artists across the country where their performances were recorded live. The series opened to rave reviews and received critical acclaim. Despite the success of ''Explorer'' series, season eleven, received mixed reception from the critics. The ninth season of the Pakistani music television series '' Coke Studio'' commenced airing in Pakistan on 13 August 2016, concluded on 24 September 2016 and contained seven episodes. Season nine aired Fridays (digitally) and Saturdays (televised), on various timings and channels across the country. ''Begum Gul Bakaoli Sarfarosh'' (Urdu: بیگم گل بکاولی سرفروش) is the third studio album released by the Pakistani rock band Noori. The album was released on 9 October 2015 through a three-day album launch tour in the cities of Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad (respectively). The album was released in Peshawar on 22 November 2015 where Noori performed for its promotion. Atif Aslam
Atif Aslam is a Pakistani playback singer, songwriter, composer, and actor. He has recorded many songs in both Pakistan and India, and is known for his vocal belting technique. Aslam predominantly sings in Urdu, but has also sung in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Pashto. In 2008, he received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the fourth-highest civilian honor award from the Pakistani government. He is also a recipient of several Lux Style Awards. Mughal-e-Funk is an instrumental funk band from Pakistan. The band comprises Kami Paul (drummer), Farhan Ali (bass), Rakae Jamil (sitar), and Rufus Shahzad (keyboards & synths). The band has featured in popular shows including Coke Studio, Levi's Live, and Bisconni Music.
