Kaleem Taylor
"Promesses" is a song by French producer/DJ Tchami featuring guest vocals from British singer Kaleem Taylor. It was initially released on 24 July 2013 under Fool's Gold Records as part of his free EP ''Promesses'' along with "Shot Caller". A radio edit of the song was then re-released on 5 January 2015 as a digital download in the United Kingdom through Ministry of Sound. The song was written by Tchami, Kaleem Taylor and DJ Snake, the latter also co-producing it. The song peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart while topping the UK Indie Chart. Tchami
Martin Joseph Léonard Bresso (; born 12 May 1985), better known by his stage name Tchami (), is a French record producer and DJ from Paris. A founding member of the Pardon My French collective, he is best known for his solo work and regarded as a pioneer of the future house genre alongside Dutch DJs Oliver Heldens and Don Diablo. When asked about the origins of his name Tchami, the French artist explained, "I used to travel a lot across Europe and Africa these past five years. Tchami is a name that has been given to me in Africa which is an honor. Fortunately it sounded catchy to me, so I kept it. That's all folks." Tchami often performs with the persona of a priest and a church theme. He wears a clerical collar and includes visuals such as an altar and stained glass windows. Future House
Future house is a house music genre that emerged in the 2010s in the United Kingdom, described as a fusion of deep house, UK garage and incorporating other elements and techniques of other EDM genres. It is high in energy, generally consisting of big drops, 4/4 beats and is sonically bass heavy. Etymology The term "future house" was coined by French DJ Tchami and was first used to categorise his 2013 remix of Janet Jackson's "Go Deep" on SoundCloud. Tchami used the term without considering it a genre saying in a 2015 interview "Future house was meant to be 'any kind of house music that hasn't been invented yet,' so I never considered it as a genre. Calyx (musician)
Calyx is a British drum and bass act, specialising in the techstep style. Previously the duo of Larry Cons and Chris Rush (both of London), it is now a solo project of Larry Cons. Their first release was in 1998 for Moving Shadow sublabel Audio Couture. Most of their releases have been for Moving Shadow, including their debut album ''No Turning Back'' (2005), with a few appearances for Metalheadz and Renegade Hardware. Torgeir Byrknes, better known by his stage name Teebee, is a Norwegian DJ and producer of drum and bass. He also runs the record label Subtitles Recordings. Teebee began DJing in 1990 and released his first record in 1996. He won the Knowledge Magazine award for ''Best International Producer'' in 2001. Musicology Teebee's music is characterised by a strong dark and futuristic science fiction influence. TeeBee material could be classed as neurofunk or techstep, although possessing a deeper ambient and atmospheric quality than much of this subgenre.
