Kakhovka Raion
Kakhovka Raion ( uk, Каховський район) is one of the administrative raions (a ''district'') of Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine. Its administrative center is located in the city of Nova Kakhovka. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Kherson Oblast was reduced to five, and the area of Kakhovka Raion was significantly expanded. Four abolished raions, Chaplynka, Hornostaivka, Velyka Lepetykha, and Verkhnii Rohachyk Raions, as well as Nova Kakhovka Municipality and the city of Kakhovka which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion, were merged into Kakhovka Raion. Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Nova Kakhovka Municipality
Nova Kakhovka ( uk, Нова́ Кахо́вка, ; russian: Новая Каховка) is a city in the central Kakhovka Raion region of Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine currently under Russian occupation. Nova Kakhovka is an important port city on the east bank of the Dnieper river where it meets the downstream end of the Kakhovka Reservoir. It forms one abutment of the Kakhovsky Bridge over the hydroelectric dam; the other is located in Beryslav. The city lies immediately downstream of the source of the North Crimean Canal that irrigates the Crimean peninsula and can be said to control the seat of the channel. The city's population is . Hryhorivka, Kherson Oblast
Hryhorivka（), is a village in southern Ukraine, which is located in Kakhovka Raion of Kherson Oblast and hosts the administration of the Hryhorivka rural hromada, one of the Hromadas of Ukraine. The village is near Lake Lemuria, a lake in Ukraine well-known for its pink color, which comes from ''beta''-carotene-producing algae. Askania-Nova ( uk, Асканія-Нова) is a Ukrainian nature reserve located in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine, within the dry Taurida steppe near Oleshky Sands and active member of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme. It is also a research institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The reserve consists of a zoological park, a botanical (dendrological) garden, and an open territory of virgin steppes.
