Kaizers Orchestra Members
Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed on 1 January 2000. They are notable for being among the first non-black metal Norwegian artists singing in their native language to become popular beyond Scandinavia. In 2012, the group announced that following a 2013 "Farewell Tour", they would take a long break. Their final concert was held on 14 September 2013 at DNB Arena in Stavanger, and was also streamed live online. Following weeks of teasers and speculation, the band confirmed a reunion and comeback tour scheduled for 2023. As of 2022, the band has released eight studio albums, five live albums and several EPs and video releases. Maestro (Kaizers Orchestra Album)
''Maestro'' is the third studio album by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra. It was released on 15 August 2005 by Kaizerecords and Universal Music Group. It was later released as a 2-CD limited edition with bonus tracks and videos. Like the two previous albums, the lyrics of the compositions are stories that all relate to the theme of the album, this time in a post-war mental hospital owned by a man called Dieter Meyer. History The first song that was written for the then-untitled third album, "Dieter Meyers Inst.", frontman Janove Ottesen wrote on the pump organ in Café Mono, Oslo. The song is about a man who willingly commits himself to a mental asylum, which set the tone for the overall theme of the album. In January 2004, a 30-track demo was recorded, which the band pitched to various record labels. They eventually landed a contract with Universal Germany. ''Maskineri'' ( Machinery) is the fourth studio album by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra, released on 18 February 2008. Recorded and mixed during November and December 2007, the album was released on the independent label Petroleum Records in Norway on 18 February 2008 and on Sony BMG in international territories on a later date. Background The first new composition after the release of their third studio album, ''Maestro'', was "Du og dine er even" (the song's title would later be changed to "Moment"), which was first played at a show at the famous Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, Norway. A day after the first performance, a private concert was held for fans who had won a contest held as a promotion for their 2006 live album '' Live at Vega''. Here, not only did Kaizers Orchestra play some rarely played B-sides but "Du og dine er even" was performed again, and frontman Janove Ottesen also single-handedly performed a new composition, a pump-organ ballad called ... ''documenta'' is an exhibition of contemporary art which takes place every five years in Kassel, Germany. The ''documenta'' was founded by artist, teacher and curator Arnold Bode in 1955 as part of the Bundesgartenschau (Federal Horticultural Show) which took place in Kassel at that time. It was an attempt to bring Germany up to speed with modern art, both banishing and repressing the cultural darkness of Nazism. This first ''documenta'' featured many artists who are generally considered to have had a significant influence on modern art (such as Picasso and Kandinsky). Nynorsk
Nynorsk () () is one of the two written standards of the Norwegian language, the other being Bokmål. From 12 May 1885, it became the state-sanctioned version of Ivar Aasen's standard Norwegian language ( no, Landsmål) parallel to the Dano-Norwegian written language (''Riksmål''). ''Live at Vega'' is a two-disc live album released by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra, on 6 March 2006. It features their recorded concert performance at Vega, a concert hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 6 October 2005. It was originally meant to be released alongside the DVD recording of the same concert, '' Viva La Vega'', but the release of the DVD was delayed until later that year. The inside information reads: Who would have thought that a rattling, rampaging, Norwegian singing orchestra would have the crowds go crazy at Vega in Copenhagen one October evening in 2005?
