''Maestro'' is the third studio album by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra. It was released on 15 August 2005 by Kaizerecords and Universal Music Group. It was later released as a 2-CD limited edition with bonus tracks and videos. Like the two previous albums, the lyrics of the compositions are stories that all relate to the theme of the album, this time in a post-war mental hospital owned by a man called Dieter Meyer. History The first song that was written for the then-untitled third album, "Dieter Meyers Inst.", frontman Janove Ottesen wrote on the pump organ in Café Mono, Oslo. The song is about a man who willingly commits himself to a mental asylum, which set the tone for the overall theme of the album. In January 2004, a 30-track demo was recorded, which the band pitched to various record labels. They eventually landed a contract with Universal Germany. On 27 February 2004, during a concert at the Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, a new song called "Me ...

Documenta
''documenta'' is an exhibition of contemporary art which takes place every five years in Kassel, Germany. The ''documenta'' was founded by artist, teacher and curator Arnold Bode in 1955 as part of the Bundesgartenschau (Federal Horticultural Show) which took place in Kassel at that time. It was an attempt to bring Germany up to speed with modern art, both banishing and repressing the cultural darkness of Nazism. This first ''documenta'' featured many artists who are generally considered to have had a significant influence on modern art (such as Picasso and Kandinsky). The more recent editions of the event feature artists based across the world, but much of the art is site-specific. Every ''documenta'' is limited to 100 days of exhibition, which is why it is often referred to as the "museum of 100 days". ''Documenta'' is not a selling exhibition. Etymology of ''documenta'' The name of the exhibition is an invented word. The term is supposed to demonstrate the intention of ...

Live At Vega
''Live at Vega'' is a two-disc live album released by Norwegian alternative rock group Kaizers Orchestra, on 6 March 2006. It features their recorded concert performance at Vega, a concert hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 6 October 2005. It was originally meant to be released alongside the DVD recording of the same concert, '' Viva La Vega'', but the release of the DVD was delayed until later that year. The inside information reads: Who would have thought that a rattling, rampaging, Norwegian singing orchestra would have the crowds go crazy at Vega in Copenhagen one October evening in 2005? Probably the same people who would bet their whole record collection that thousands of Germans, Swiss and Spanish would one day holler along to songs in a language they did not understand, dance the "Ompa", and shout "Hallelujah" to six saviours in Swedish suits playing gypsy music from Norway. ''Live at Vega'' is proof that anything is possible; that a spastic, foreign-sounding orchestra f ...
