Kairon; IRSE! is a progressive rock and shoegaze band from Finland. According to Guitarist Niko Lehdontie, the band's name "means nothing" and is "just meant to be as annoying as possible." Lehdontie has compared the band's sound to Gentle Giant, Todd Rundgren, the Flaming Lips, and My Bloody Valentine. The band has also been compared to King Crimson, Ornette Coleman, Fairport Convention, Jon Anderson, Utopia, and Dream Theater. Seinäjoki
Seinäjoki (; "Wall River"; la, Wegelia, formerly sv, Östermyra) is a city located in South Ostrobothnia, Finland; east of Vaasa, north of Tampere, west of Jyväskylä and southwest of Oulu. Seinäjoki originated around the Östermyra bruk iron and gunpowder factories founded in 1798. Seinäjoki became a municipality in 1868, market town in 1931 and town in 1960. In 2005, the municipality of Peräseinäjoki was merged into Seinäjoki, and in the beginning of 2009, the neighbouring municipalities of Nurmo and Ylistaro were consolidated with Seinäjoki. King Crimson are a progressive rock band formed in 1968 in London, England. Utopia (band)
Utopia was an American rock music, rock band formed in 1973 by Todd Rundgren. During its first three years, the group was a progressive rock band with a somewhat fluid membership known as Todd Rundgren's Utopia. Most of the members in this early incarnation also played on Rundgren's solo albums of the period up to 1975. By 1976, the group was known simply as Utopia and featured a stable quartet of Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Roger Powell (musician), Roger Powell and Willie Wilcox, John "Willie" Wilcox. This version of the group gradually abandoned progressive rock for more straightforward rock and pop music, pop. In 1980, they had a top 40 hit with "Set Me Free". John Roy Anderson (born 25 October 1944) is an English singer, songwriter and musician, best known as the lead singer of the progressive rock band Yes, which he formed in 1968 with bassist Chris Squire. He was a member of the band across three tenures until 2008. Anderson was also a member of ARW along with former Yes bandmates Rick Wakeman and Trevor Rabin from 2016–2020. Fairport Convention are an English folk rock band, formed in 1967 by guitarists Richard Thompson and Simon Nicol, bassist Ashley Hutchings and drummer Shaun Frater (with Frater replaced by Martin Lamble after their first gig.)
