Kaeru No Tame Ni Kane Wa Naru
, officially translated as ''The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls'', is an action role-playing video game developed by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy exclusively in Japan in 1992. The title is a play on Ernest Hemingway's ''For Whom the Bell Tolls'' (Japanese translation: 誰がために鐘は鳴る, ''Ta ga Tame ni Kane wa Naru''), which is itself an allusion to John Donne's famous Meditation XVII. In 2011, an English fan translation was released. Plot In a land far away, the two princes—Richard (of the Custard Kingdom) and the game's main protagonist (prince of the Sablé Kingdom)—have shared a friendly rivalry since they were small children. ''Wario Land 4'' is a 2001 platform game developed by Nintendo and released for the Game Boy Advance. Wario has to gather four treasures to unlock a pyramid and save Princess Shokora from the Golden Diva. Gameplay The gameplay of ''Wario Land 4'' (which is generally similar to that of '' Wario Land II'' and ''Wario Land 3'') allows for some open-endedness as well as some order of difficulty. After an Entry Passage that serves as a tutorial for the game, there are four main passages: the Emerald, Topaz, Ruby, and Sapphire Passages, in order of difficulty. ''Wario Land 3'' is a 2000 video game released for the Game Boy Color. In it, Mario's archrival Wario must free a mysterious figure who is trapped inside a music box. It was a critical and commercial success, and was followed by ''Wario Land 4'' in 2001. It was also released for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in 2013. Gameplay The gameplay in ''Wario Land 3'' is very similar to that of its predecessor, '' Wario Land II''. Wario must take advantage of his enemies' attacks to physically change and access new areas. For example, if Wario eats a donut thrown by a certain enemy, he temporarily bulks up to twice his size, giving him extra protection against attacks and the ability to break certain blocks.
