''Kadala Mage'' (Son of the Sea) is a 2006 Indian Tulu language film directed by Praveen Jain and produced by Sadhana N Shetty, starring Bhavya, Diganth (in his Tulu debut), Soorya, Sarita Jain, Rajesh Bantwal, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Lakshman Kumar Mallur, Sarojini Shetty and Ila Vitla in the lead roles. The film was a box office success and won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Regional Film. ''Kadala Mage'' was one of two Tulu films to release in 2006 along with '' Suddha'' (2006). Bhavya is an Indian actress. She has acted in several Kannada and a few Tamil and Telugu movies. She was a top heroine of Kannada cinema during 1985–1992. She switched over to key supporting roles post 2000. She is settled in Mumbai, India and travels frequently to Bangalore for her shoots. Diganth
Diganth Manchale (born 28 December 1983), mononymously known as Diganth, is an Indian actor and former model who primarily works in Kannada films. Diganth made his acting debut in '' Miss California'' in 2006. He is a recipient of one SIIMA Award along with four Filmfare Award South nominations. Diganth's success pushed him to be among the top league actors of Kannada cinema. Diganath had his first success with ''Gaalipata'' (2008), which earned him the title "Doodhpeda" and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Kannada nomination. Tulu Language
Tulu () in Kannada script, ml, ത‍ുള‍ു ഭാഷെ in Malayalam script. ''bhāṣe'', , ''bhāśe'', and ''bāśe'' are alternative spellings for the Tulu word ''bāse'' in the Kannada script. The correct spelling for the word "language" in Kannada is kn, ಭಾಷೆ ''bhāṣe'', but that is not necessarily true in Tulu. Suddha (film)
''Suddha'', also called ''The Cleansing Rites'', is an Indian film, the first-ever Tulu language film shot in the digital format. The 105-minute film was shot in 2004 in a village called Marnad near Mangalore, Karnataka, and was released in 2005. The film is an adaptation of the ''Tulu Sahitya Academy'' award-winning Tulu play called ''Bojja'' written by Mumbai-based playwright, Narayana Nandalike.
