Kabul Zwanan ( ps, کابل ځوانان ''Kābəl Źwānān'', literally "Kabul Youth") are a franchise cricket team which participates in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL). They joined the APL as one of its original members in 2018. Afghan leggie Rashid Khan (cricketer), Rashid Khan was the captain for the inaugural session and Zimbabwean coach Heath Streak was appointed as the head coach of the team. The Afghanistan Premier League (APL) ( ps, ; fa, ), officially Gulbahar Afghanistan Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a Twenty20 cricket franchise tournament run by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), held in the United Arab Emirates. The first edition of the tournament took place between 5 and 21 October 2018 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with up to forty overseas players involved. Five teams have been selected to compete, named after regions of Afghanistan. Javed Ahmadi
Javed Ahmadi (born 2 January 1992) is an Afghan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He currently represents the Afghanistan national cricket team. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first Test match, against India, in June 2018. Career Ahmadi first represented Afghanistan in age group cricket, and was a member of the Afghanistan Under-19 cricket team which, for the first time in history, qualified for the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. Cricket Clubs Established In 2018
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Sohail Tanvir ( ur, ; born 12 December 1984) is a Pakistani cricketer, who has gained considerable international repute for his unorthodox left arm bowling action and particularly for the success it has gained him in the Twenty20 format of the game. Tanvir was the first 'purple cap' winner in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League and his best figures were 6 for 14 playing for the Rajasthan Royals. Zamir Khan
Zamir Khan (born 16 March 1992) is an Afghan cricketer. Khan is a left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Khan was a member of Afghanistan's squad for the 2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup in Nepal. It was during this tournament that he made his debut for Afghanistan against Oman. He made five further appearances during the tournament, including in the final against Hong Kong, which Afghanistan won. Wayne Dillon Parnell (born 30 July 1989) is a South African professional cricketer who most recently played for Northamptonshire in English county cricket.
