Kabori
Sarah Begum Kabori (also Kabori Sarwar; born Mina Pal, 19 July 1950 – 17 April 2021) was a Bangladeshi film actress and politician. Her notable films include ''Sutorang'', ''Sareng Bou'', ''Abhirbhab'', ''Shat Bhai Champa'', ''Sujon Sokhi'' and ''Lalon Fokir''. She received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film ''Sareng Bou'' (1978) and Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Kabori got involved into politics later in her life. She became an elected member of parliament from the Narayanganj-4 constituency as an Awami League politician in 2008 and served until 2014. Early life Kabori was born in Boalkhali, Chittagong, East Bengal, Pakistan. She studied until 8th grade. Farooque
Akbar Hossain Pathan (born 18 August 1948), known by the stage name Farooque, is a Bangladeshi actor, politician, businessman, producer, member of parliament and a freedom fighter. He is known as 'Mia Bhai' (respected brother) to mass people. He appeared in over 150 films in a career spanning more than five decades. Most of his films were commercially and critically successful. ''Titas Ekti Nadir Naam'' ( bn, তিতাস একটি নদীর নাম), or ''A River Called Titas'', is a 1973 film that was a joint production between India and Bangladesh directed by Ritwik Ghatak. ''Sutorang'' is a 1964 Bengali-language film directed by Subhash Dutta. Dutta played the male lead role as well. Actress Kabori Sarwar made her debut in this film. Abdur Razzak (actor)
Abdur Razzak (23 January 1942 – 21 August 2017) (known as Razzak) was a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He was dubbed Nayak Raj Razzak (King of Heroes), a term introduced by Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, editor of the magazine ''Chitrali''. Razzak won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films '' Ki Je Kori'' (1976), ''Ashikkhito'' (1978), ''Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo'' (1982), ''Chandranath'' (1984) and ''Jogajog'' (1988). Subhash Dutta
Subhash Dutta (9 February 1930 – 16 November 2012) was a Bangladeshi filmmaker, theater and film actor. He started his career as a commercial artist. Career At the beginning of his career, Dutta worked as a film poster artist. He drew posters for Mukh O Mukhosh (1956), the first Bengali-language movie to be made in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). He directed his first movie, Sutorang, in 1964. The movie won the second prize at the Frankfurt Festival in 1965. In 1972, he acted with the theatrical group, ''Aranyak Nattyadal''. Shamim Osman
Shamim Osman (born 28 February 1961) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the current member of parliament from Narayanganj-4 constituency. Career Osman was elected as a member of parliament at the 7th National Parliamentary Elections in June 1996 from Narayanganj-4. Osman received 73,349 votes while his nearest rival, Sirajul Islam of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party received 63,866 votes. He contested the 2001 Bangladeshi general election as a candidate of Awami League from Narayanganj-4 and lost.
