Kabaret Starszych Panów (''Elderly Gentlemen's Cabaret'') was a Polish satirical cabaret (Polish term for revue) made for TV in the late 1950s to mid-1960s . Numerous leading actors and performers participated in its episodes. The hosts and producers were Jerzy Wasowski and Jeremi Przybora, the two aging male Polish actors mentioned in the cabaret's name. Their performances gained a country-wide popularity. Style The Cabaret was founded and led by composer Jerzy Wasowski (1913-1984) and writer Jeremi Przybora (1915-2004), the two older gentlemen in the cabaret's title. Wasowski wrote the music, and Przybora, the TV script. The cabaret focused on two Bourgeoisie characters, ''Pan A'' and ''Pan B'' (Mr. A and Mr. B) "in dinner jackets, bowler hats, and with carnations in their button holes," who tried to find themselves in the new world of communist People's Republic of Poland, invariably poking fun at the changing reality. A cult following refers to a group of fans who are highly dedicated to some person, idea, object, movement, or work, often an artist, in particular a performing artist, or an artwork in some medium. The lattermost is often called a cult classic. ''Kabaret'' is the eighth studio album by French singer Patricia Kaas. It was first released digitally on 15 December 2008. The physical release followed in Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Russia on 6 February 2009, and in a double CD edition in France on 30 March 2009. Kabaret, written with a K, like Kaas and the German term Kabarett, is a tribute to the 1930 decade, the sparkling entertainers like Greta Garbo, Suzy Solidor, Martha Graham and others. The song "Une derniére fois" was written by Kaas, and is therefore her first ever solo written song. Kazimierz Julian Kutz (16 February 1929 – 18 December 2018) was a Polish film director, author, journalist and politician, one of the representatives of the Polish Film School and a deputy speaker of the Senate of Poland. Biography Kazimierz Kutz was born on 16 February 1929 in Szopienice, since 1960 district of Katowice, to a railway worker and a former partisan of the Silesian Uprisings. After the World War II Kutz graduated from gymnasium in Mysłowice and in 1949 was admitted to the Łódź Film School. After finishing his studies in 1954 he started working as an assistant to Andrzej Wajda. His film debut was ''Krzyż Walecznych'' (1959). Since then he finished more than 20 pictures, including six about his home region - Silesia. Prime time or the peak time is the block of broadcast programming taking place during the middle of the evening for a television show. It is mostly targeted towards adults (and sometimes families). TVP1 (TVP Jeden, ''Program I Telewizji Polskiej'', ''"Jedynka"'') is the main public television channel of TVP (Telewizja Polska S.A.), Poland's national television broadcaster. It was the first Polish channel to be broadcast and remains one of the most popular today. TVP1 was launched 25 October 1952. History TVP1 was launched as of 25 October 1952 as TV Polska. The tests resumed in the immediate post-war years and materialized in October 1952 with the launch of the first experimental broadcasts of Polish television. In January 1953, it broadcasts at the rate of half an hour per week, then an hour and a half in March.
