Kaarina Nurminen
Kaarina (; sv, S:t Karins, i.e. " Saint Catherine's") is a small town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Southwest Finland region and is a neighbouring town of Turku, which is the capital of Southwest Finland, therefore Kaarina is a part of the Greater Turku region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The Green League (VIHR, fi, Vihreä liitto , sv, Gröna förbundet), shortened to the Greens ( fi, Vihreät, sv, De Gröna), is a green political party in Finland. The Finns Party, formerly known as the True Finns ( fi, Perussuomalaiset, PS, sv, Sannfinländarna, Sannf.), is a right-wing populist political party in Finland. It was founded in 1995 following the dissolution of the Finnish Rural Party. The party achieved its electoral breakthrough in the 2011 Finnish parliamentary election, when it won 19.1% of votes, becoming the third largest party in the Finnish Parliament. In the 2015 election the party got 17.7% of the votes, making it the parliament's second-largest political party. The party was in opposition for the first 20 years of its existence. 2011 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 17 April 2011 after the termination of the previous parliamentary term. Advance voting, which included voting by Finnish expatriates, was held between 6 and 12 April with a turnout of 31.2%. The importance of the election was magnified due to Finland's capacity to influence the European Union's decision in regard to affecting a bailout for Portugal via the European Financial Stability Facility, as part of financial support systems for debt-laden European countries, and the fall of the Portuguese government. Piikkiö (; sv, Pikis), is a former municipality of Finland. Piikkiö was consolidated with Kaarina on 1 January 2009. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southwest Finland region. Kuusisto ( fi, Kuusisto; sv, Kustö) is an island and former municipality in Kaarina, Finland. The island is about 12 km long and 2 km wide. Its main attraction is Kuusisto Castle. Kaarinan Pojat
Sämst klubb Kaarinan Pojat (abbreviated KaaPo) is a football club from Kaarina in Finland. The club was formed in 1932 and their home ground is at the Kaarinan urheilukenttä. The men's football first team currently plays in the Kakkonen (Second Division). The Chairman of KaaPo is Olli Tuominen. Background Kaarinan Pojat was established on 1 October 1958 having been initiated by a young teacher from Loimaa, Olavi Kuikka. The founding meeting was held at Ylikylä school and Pauli Hollmén was elected as chairman and Olavi Kuikka as secretary.
