KUAM-LP
KUAM-LP, UHF analog channel 20, was a low-power CBS- affiliated television station serving the U.S. territory of Guam that was licensed to Tamuning. The station was owned by Pacific Telestations, Inc. History KUAM-LP began telecasting on November 20, 1995, with CBS programming, which had previously been shared between KTGM and sister station KUAM-TV, who wanted to focus more on their ABC and NBC affiliations, respectively. The move would result in adding more of their respective networks' programming for each station, as opposed to airing selected CBS shows for KUAM-TV and KTGM to air. KUAM-LP also carried programs from The WB on a secondary basis from their inception until June 2001, when it moved to KTGM. Because of its LPTV status, the station also aired its programming on cable channel 11, which helped reach its audience on the island. On February 18, 2009, KUAM-LP began simulcasting on KUAM's digital subchannel 8.2, extending its over-the-air reach throughout Guam. KU ...

It has always been a primary ABC affiliate, but in the beginning also had a secondary CBS affiliation, which it shared with KUAM-TV. It added Fox programming in 1990, after being dropped by KUAM-TV. KUAM-TV
KUAM-TV (channel 8) is a television station in Hagåtña (Agana), Guam, serving the U.S. territory as an affiliate of NBC and CBS. Owned by Pacific Telestations, LLC, it is sister to the local public access cable channel Local 2. KUAM-TV's studios are located at 600 Harmon Loop in Dededo, and its transmitter is located east-northeast of Agat. History KUAM was Guam's first television station, signing on August 5, 1956 on analog channel 8. It carried programming from all three networks, but has always been a primary NBC affiliate. KUAM began its first broadcast in color in 1970. When Fox debuted in 1986, they carried its lineup as well. For a time, this made KUAM one of the few stations to be affiliated with all four major networks. Despite being affiliated with all four networks, KUAM was hindered by the fact that Guam was a day ahead of the U.S. mainland and that most shows, especially those from the network, were sent via air and/or mail, which meant that viewers would have ...

Public Service Announcement
A public service announcement (PSA) is a message in the public interest disseminated by the media without charge to raise public awareness and change behavior. In the UK, they are generally called a public information film (PIF); in Hong Kong, they are known as an announcement in the public interest (API). History The earliest public service announcements (in the form of moving pictures) were made before and during the Second World War years in both the UK and the US. In the UK, amateur actor Richard Massingham set up Public Relationship Films Ltd in 1938 as a specialist agency for producing short educational films for the public. In the films, he typically played a bumbling character who was slightly more stupid than average and often explained the message of the film by demonstrating the risks if it was ignored. The films covered topics such as how to cross the road, how to prevent the spread of diseases, how to swim, and how to drive without causing the road to be unsafe for ...
