KT Wiz ( ko, KT 위즈) are a South Korean professional baseball team based in Suwon. They are a member of the KBO League. Their home stadium is Suwon Baseball Stadium in Suwon. Suwon

The Samsung Lions () are a South Korean professional baseball team founded in 1982. They are based in the southeastern city of Daegu and are members of the KBO League. Their home stadium is Daegu Samsung Lions Park. They have won the Korean Championship eight times, and also finished as runners-up on ten occasions. The Kiwoom Heroes () are a South Korean professional baseball team based in Seoul. They are a member of the KBO League. The Heroes play their home games at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gocheok-dong, a neighborhood located in the southwestern part of Seoul. The Heroes mascot is ''Teokdori'' (; Mr. Jaw). In 2014, the Futures League squad changed its name to Hwaseong Heroes (), differentiating from the first string. In 2019, Hwaseong Heroes renamed as Goyang Heroes (). Kia Tigers ( ko, KIA 타이거즈) are a South Korean professional baseball team founded in 1982 and based in the southwestern city of Gwangju. Until 2001, they were known as the Haitai Tigers. The Tigers are a members of the KBO League and are the most successful team in Korean baseball, having won the national Korean Series championship 11 times with a perfect 11–0 record. The 2022 KBO League season was the 41st season in the history of the KBO League. The regular season began on April 2 and ended on October 11. A postseason then followed, culminating with the championship Korean Series. KT Wiz entered the season as defending champions. Kang Baek-ho (; born July 29, 1999) is a South Korean professional baseball left fielder for the KT Wiz of the KBO League. Amateur career Kang began playing baseball in elementary school but had to move between schools several times as a youth due to "a family issue" which he told '' Ilgan Sports'' was "hard to talk about." Kang played high school baseball as a pitcher, catcher and designated hitter at Seoul High School where, as a freshman, he was the first player to hit a home run at Gocheok Sky Dome. In 2017, he led Seoul to a high school baseball championship and was named the most valuable player of the tournament. Kang's accomplishments as a high schooler brought him significant media attention.
