KTXX-FM (104.9 MHz, "The Horn") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Bee Cave, Texas, and serving the Greater Austin radio market. The station broadcasts a sports radio format and is owned by Genuine Austin Radio. KTXX-FM's transmitter is located on State Highway 71 on the west side of Austin. The station has studios and offices along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin. KTXX-FM broadcasts in the HD Radio format. It is owned by Genuine Austin Radio with studios and offices along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin. KTAE mostly simulcasts the sports radio format of sister station 104.9 KTXX-FM. HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for an in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. It generally simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information. HD Radio is used primarily by AM and FM radio stations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a few implementations outside North America. Loop 360 is a loop route in Austin in the U.S. state of Texas. Loop 360 is a scenic highway winding through the hills of West Austin. The road is described by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) as "a 4-lane depressed median arterial with at-grade signalized intersections." State Highway 71 (SH 71) is a Texas state highway that runs . The northern terminus is at US 87 and US 377 south of Brady and its southern terminus is at SH 35 near Blessing. This highway is designated the "10th Mountain Division Highway" from SH 95 to Interstate 35.
