KTEK (1110 AM) – branded ''Relevant Radio'' – is a non-commercial Catholic radio station licensed to Alvin, Texas. Owned by Relevant Radio, Inc., the station serves Greater Houston but does not broadcast any local programming, instead functioning as a repeater for the Relevant Radio network. KTEK also simulcasts over 2 Houston licensed translators K241CM (96.1 FM) and K245CQ (96.9 FM). The KTEK transmitter is located in Alvin, while the transmitter for K241CM resides in Friendswood and the K245CQ transmitter is near MacGregor Drive and Texas State Highway 288, just south of downtown Houston. KXYZ (1320 AM) is a commercial radio station in Houston, Texas. It is owned by iHeartMedia, and features an all-news radio format aimed at the African American community, as an affiliate of the co-owned Black Information Network. In addition to carrying the national network, there are cut-ins for Houston-area news, traffic and weather. By day, KXYZ transmits with 10,000 watts. To protect other stations on 1320 AM from interference, it reduces power at night to 5,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna at all times. The transmitter is currently located in Pasadena, Texas. However, iHeart has planned the relocation of KXYZ to the KPRC tower site in the Settegast neighborhood of Houston when the Pasadena site is sold. Alvin is a city in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area and Brazoria County. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the city population was 27,098. KFAB (1110 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Omaha, Nebraska, with studios and offices on Underwood Avenue in Omaha. It broadcasts a talk radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. KFAB is a Class A clear channel station, operating at 50,000 watts, the maximum power for commercial AM stations, from a transmitter on South 60th Street at Capehart Road in Papillion.
