KSAC-FM (105.5 FM, "Money 105.5") is a business news / talk radio station based in Sacramento, California, United States. The station is licensed to the community of Dunnigan, California and is owned and operated by Salem Media Group. Station History The 105.5 signal made its debut in 1982 with the call letters KIQS-FM and was assigned to Willows, California until its move to Dunnigan in 1995 so it can target the Sacramento area. During the move, its owners sold the station to Pacific Spanish Network, who in 1996 changed the call letters to KLNA and broadcast a Spanish Contemporary format until 1998, when it flipped to a Top 40/Dance format as "Power 105." However, this attempt to bring a Dance format to Sacramento was hampered by its signal coverage from the northwestern area, a lack of advertising support and struggling ratings. KKFS (103.9 MHz The Fish) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Lincoln, California, and serving the Sacramento metropolitan area. The station carries a Christian contemporary radio format and is owned by the Salem Media Group, which also owns KFIA, KTKZ and KSAC-FM. Salem uses "The Fish" as its branding for Christian contemporary stations in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville and Cleveland. KKFS has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. KFIA (710 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station broadcasting a Christian talk and teaching format. Licensed to Carmichael, California, the station serves the Sacramento metropolitan area. The station is currently owned by New Inspiration Broadcasting Company, Inc. which is a part of Salem Communications. KFIA is powered at 25,000 watts by day. But because 710 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A stations KIRO Seattle and WOR New York City, KFIA must greatly reduce power at night to 1,000 watts. KTKZ airs a conservative talk radio format, mostly featuring syndicated shows from the co-owned Salem Radio Network. Dunnigan (formerly, Antelope) is a census-designated place in Yolo County, California on Interstate 5. The population was 1,416 at the 2010 census. Dunnigan's ZIP code is 95937 and its area code 530. It lies at an elevation of 69 feet (21 m). History The town of Dunnigan was founded as Antelope by two early settlers, J. S. Copp and Jolin Wilson. During the year 1853 they were living down nearer the Sacramento River, but the winter flood washed them on to higher ground and they settled on new claims here. Next year, A. W. Dunnigan, a Yolo County postal worker, came and gave name to the place. Willows is a city and the county seat of Glenn County, California, located in the Sacramento Valley region of Northern California. KDND
KDND (107.9 MHz) was an FM radio station licensed to Sacramento, California, United States. The station first signed on in 1947 as KXOA-FM, an FM simulcast of AM station KXOA, before separating itself with distinct programming, including most prominently soft rock, adult contemporary, and classic hits formats. In July 1998, two years after the sale of the station to Entercom (now Audacy, Inc.), the station switched to its final KDND call letters and Top 40/CHR format branded as ''107.9 The End''. At the time of the station's closing, KDND's studios were located in North Highlands (though with a Sacramento address), while its transmitter was located just north of the Sacramento city limits near Elverta. It is owned by Entravision Communications and airs a Bilingual Rhythmic CHR radio format branded as "Fuego 101.9". KHHM, along with sister stations KNTY, KRCX-FM, and KXSE have their radio studios and offices on Auburn Blvd in Sacramento. KHHM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 47,000 watts.
