KMB Route 51
Route 51 is a bus service operated by Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) in Hong Kong's New Territories. It connects Tsuen Wan (Nina Tower) with Sheung Tsuen, a village in Pat Heung running via the steep and tortuous Route Twisk. This route is the only public transport running along the whole length of Route Twisk, which is considered by its operator to be a kind of corporate social responsibility, providing a minimum service for the area along. History The route was started on 24 June 1961 as Route 26, when Route Twisk, originally a military road, was opened to the public. Originally KMB operated it as a test route only, but because of the positive response received, the route became a permanent route. Tai Kok Tsui Ferry Pier
Tai Kok Tsui Ferry Pier (1972–1992) () was a ferry pier in Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It started operation in 1972, together with an adjacent bus terminus, to replace the Mong Kok Ferry Pier in Mong Kok. It provided a ferry service to and from Central, Hong Kong, Central, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, Mainland China. Its cross-boundary ferry terminal position was replaced by the Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui in 1988. It was then closed in 1992 to cope with Land reclamation in Hong Kong, land reclamation work for the Airport Core Programme. The bus terminus remained in use until it was relocated to a new reclaimed area in west Tai Kok Tsui in 1995. The pier has been reclaimed and the HSBC Centre now stands where the former bus terminal used to be. Kam Sheung Road () is an MTR station on the , located between Pat Heung and Kam Tin in Hong Kong. It is situated between and stations. Kam Sheung Road was the arena for the KCR West Rail's opening ceremony. History On 20 December 2003, Kam Shueng Road station opened to the public along with other KCR West Rail stations. On 27 June 2021, the officially merged with the (which was already extended into the ''Tuen Ma line Phase 1'' at the time) in East Kowloon to form the new , as part of the Shatin to Central link project. Hence, Kam Sheung Road was included in the project and is now an intermediate station on the Tuen Ma line. The Dennis Dart is a rear-engined single-decker midibus chassis that was introduced by Dennis Specialist Vehicles of Guildford, England in 1989, replacing the Dennis Domino. Initially built as a high-floor design, In 1996 the low-floor second generation Dennis Dart SLF was launched. In 2001, production of the Dart SLF passed to TransBus International, during which time it was sold as the TransBus Dart SLF; Alexander Dennis took over production in 2004, renaming the product as the Alexander Dennis Dart SLF. The MCW Metrobus is a two and three-axle double-decker bus manufactured by Metro Cammell Weymann (MCW) between 1977 and 1989, with over 4,000 built. Tsuen Wan Pier, Tsuen Wan Ferry or Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier is a public pier at the south of Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong, which is adjacent to the MTR Tsuen Wan West station. It provided ferry service to Central via Tsing Yi, but the service ceased operation in 2000 after Western Harbour Crossing and MTR Tung Chung line were commissioned to provide faster route between New Territories West and Hong Kong Island. Kam Tin, or Kam Tin Heung, is an area in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It lies on a flat alluvial plain north of Tai Mo Shan mountain and east of Yuen Long town. It was formerly known as Sham Tin (岑田). Administratively, it is part of Yuen Long District. Many of Kam Tin's residents are from the Tang Clan, who are of the Punti culture, not Hakka as is often misattributed. Tuen Mun Road
Tuen Mun Road is a major expressway in Hong Kong which connects Tuen Mun with Tsuen Wan, within the New Territories. It is part of Hong Kong's Route 9, which circumnavigates the New Territories. Opened in 1978, it was once the major trunk route linking the northwest New Territories to urban Kowloon and is known for its frequent traffic jams and road accidents owing to its early design and heavy usage. As a result, speed limits have been enforced to due to geometric constraints.
