KK Mornar
Košarkaški klub Mornar (Cyrillic: Кошаркашки клуб Морнар), commonly referred to as Mornar Barsko zlato for sponsorship reasons, is a men's professional basketball club based in Bar, Montenegro. The club competes in the Montenegrin Basketball League and the ABA League. The team also plays in international competitions. Mornar made its European debut in the Basketball Champions League during the 2016–17 season. Mornar won its first domestic title the following year in the 2017–18 Montenegrin League. History In the 2015–16 season, Mornar managed to reach the Balkan League and Montenegrin League Finals but lost both. ABA League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. The league coexists alongside scaled-down national leagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. All but one of Adriatic League clubs join their country's own competitions in late spring after the Adriatic League regular season and post-season have been completed. KK Budućnost (, ), currently known as Budućnost VOLI () for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball Sports club, club based in Podgorica, Montenegro. The club competes in Montenegrin Basketball League, Adriatic League and EuroCup Basketball, Eurocup. It is a part of the SD Budućnost Podgorica, Budućnost Sports Society. The club is a founding member and shareholder of the ABA League JTD, Adriatic Basketball Association. In the third season of the Balkan International Basketball League, ten participants from the Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and the new represented countries Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia has competed. Teams Format Regular season In the regular season the teams will be divided into two groups, each containing five teams. Each team plays every other team in its group at home and away. Montenegrin Basketball Cup
The Montenegrin Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition for Montenegrin basketball teams held since 2007. History Montenegrin clubs in Yugoslav Cup Before the Montenegrin independence in 2006, clubs from Montenegro played in national Cup of Yugoslavia. Most successful was KK Budućnost with three trophies won. First time, Budućnost won the trophy at final-four 1996 in Nikšić, defeating KK Partizan (126–115) in the final. Two years later, Budućnost won the final four, again in Nikšić (final match against KK Beobanka - 78:71). The 2020–21 Prva A Liga is the 15th season of the Montenegrin Basketball League, the top tier basketball league on Montenegro. No team from the last season was relegated, while KK Podgorica and KK Pljevlja were promoted. In this season, 8 teams from Montenegro will participate in basketball international competitions which have been the most ever. MZT Skopje Aerodrom ( mk, МЗТ Скопје Аеродром) is a basketball club based in Skopje, North Macedonia. The club competes in the Macedonian League and ABA League. The club's home ground is Jane Sandanski Arena, but due to small capacity, the matches in the ABA League and EuroCup between 2012 and 2014 were played in Boris Trajkovski Arena.
