Košarkaški klub FMP ( sr-Cyrl, Кошаркашки клуб ФMП), commonly referred to as KK FMP or as FMP Meridian due to sponsorship reasons, is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia. The club plays in the ABA League, the Basketball League of Serbia, and the Basketball Champions League. Their home arena is the Železnik Hall. The club was founded in Novi Sad in 1970 as KK Radnički, and was later relocated to Belgrade. The club considers itself as the successor of the 'original' FMP. History The Radnički era (1970–2013) 1970–2009: Based in Novi Sad The club was formed in 1970 as KK Radnički from Novi Sad. The club had played in regional leagues until 2006, when new sponsors onboard, Invest Inženjering and Park Hotel. The club moved to the top-tier Serbian League in 2007 and played in that competition in their last two seasons ( 2007–08 and 2008–09). ABA League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. The league coexists alongside scaled-down national leagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. All but one of Adriatic League clubs join their country's own competitions in late spring after the Adriatic League regular season and post-season have been completed. In the past, the league has also consisted of clubs from Bulgaria ( Levski), the Czech Republic (ČEZ Nymburk), Hungary ( Szolnoki Olaj), and Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv) that received wild card invitations. Nikola Manojlović ( sr-cyr, Никола Манојловић; born 14 February 2002) is a Serbian professional basketball player who currently plays for FMP of the ABA League as a loaned player of Crvena zvezda mts. Playing career Born in Novi Sad, Manojlović grew up in the Belgrade-based Crvena zvezda youth system. On 27 February 2020, Manojlović signed his first professional contract for Crvena zvezda mts. In September 2020, he was loaned to Tamiš for the 2020–21 BLS season. Prior to the 2021–22 season, Manojlović was added to the roster of Slodes. Afterwards, he was loaned to FMP on 28 December 2021. Beau Beech
Beau Beech (born March 1, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for FMP of the Basketball League of Serbia and the ABA League. He played college basketball for the University of North Florida. High school career Beech attended Ponte Vedra High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. As a senior, he averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals, leading the Sharks to a district title and regional semifinal appearance while garnering first-team All-State honors. College career After graduating high school, Beech joined North Florida where he started in 129 of 133 games while averaging 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 28.7 minutes per game, all of this while shooting .423 from the field and .393 from three-point range. Ebuka Izundu
Ebuka Rufus Izundu (born 28 June 1996) is a Nigerian professional basketball player for FMP of the Basketball League of Serbia and the Adriatic League. Izundu played college basketball for the Miami Hurricanes. Early life and high school career Izundu was born and brought up in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up playing soccer and began playing basketball at age 16 due to his height. Izundu played basketball for Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte, North Carolina for two years. As a senior, he averaged 21 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks per game. Izundu also played soccer and ran track in high school. Milutin Vujičić ( sr-cyr, Милутин Вујичић; born Milutin Ostojić, 8 March 2002) is a Serbian professional basketball player for FMP of the Basketball League of Serbia and the ABA League on a loan from Crvena zvezda mts. Charles T. Jenkins ( sr-cyrl, Чарлс Т. Џенкинс; born February 28, 1989) is an American-born naturalized Serbian professional basketball player for FMP Meridian of the ABA League. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 2011 NBA draft after finishing his four-year college career with the Hofstra Pride. In addition to being a citizen of the United States, Jenkins also has Serbian citizenship. While attending Hempstead, New York's Hofstra University, Jenkins, a guard for the Hofstra Pride men's basketball team, had already amassed 1,767 points, 440 rebounds, 331 assists and 156 steals through his first three seasons.
