KIIS Network
The KIIS Network is an Australian commercial radio stations owned and operated by the ARN. Formerly branded as the Mix Network, the network was rebranded as the KIIS Network in 2015 following the relaunch of KIIS 101.1 Melbourne. The KIIS Network is named after KIIS-FM, a Los Angeles-based radio station broadcast on the 102.7 MHz FM band. History In November 2014, ARN announced that from January 2015 a year after the demise of Melbourne radio station Mix 101.1 and Sydney radio station Mix 106.5, the Mix Network would be rebranded as the KIIS Network, with KIIS 101.1 and KIIS 106.5 and alongside 97.3FM and Mix 102.3. ARN is a group of commercial radio stations around Australia. It includes the Pure Gold, KIIS Network, CADA, ARN Regional and iHeartRadio brands. The company operates the ARN News service in Australia, which uses international correspondents and source news stories from AAP in Australia, CNN from the United States and Sky News and IRN from the United Kingdom. ARN has newsrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide. Originally ARN was a joint venture of Australian media conglomerate APN News & Media and United States radio company iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel Communications). On 19 February 2014, it was reported that APN News & Media had agreed to purchase Clear Channel's 50% stake in the ARN. ''Will & Woody'' is a syndicated Australian radio show hosted by Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw. The show in its current form first aired on the KIIS Network on 18 January 2018. History Hit Network McMahon and Whitelaw have hosted radio shows together since 2011, after being spotted by broadcaster Steve Vizard after performing at a law school revue in Melbourne. The pair were recruited as fill-in presenters for ''The Kyle & Jackie O Show'', and were later heard nationally on the Today Network. In October 2013, McMahon and Whitelaw were appointed as presenters of 92.9 Perth's breakfast radio program, alongside Heidi Anderson. Gold 104.3 (call sign: 3KKZ) is a radio station broadcasting in Melbourne, Australia. Gold 104.3 is part of the Pure Gold Network (which itself is a part of the Australian Radio Network) and broadcasts on the 104.3 MHz frequency. History 3KZ 3KZ commenced operations on 8 December 1930. The radio station was initiated by the Industrial Printing and Publicity Group as a means of spreading its message, and in the station's early years, it was broadcast from the Victorian Trades Hall. Its original frequency was 1350 kHz, moving to 1180 kHz on 1 September 1935. ''The Christian O'Connell Show'' is a multi award winning radio show, hosted by Christian O'Connell. The show was originally produced in the United Kingdom, starting as ''The Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show'' on a local station in Bournemouth in 1998, going national in 2001, then moving with O'Connell to Australia in 2018. Though still broadcast live as a morning show, the word "Breakfast" has been dropped from the title to reflect the various times it airs in different Australian markets. Adult contemporary music (AC) is a form of radio-played popular music, ranging from 1960s vocal and 1970s soft rock music to predominantly ballad-heavy music of the present day, with varying degrees of easy listening, pop, soul, R&B, quiet storm and rock influence.
