KCVR-FM (98.9 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Columbia, California, and broadcasting to the Central Valley cities of Modesto and Stockton, in addition to the Sierra Nevada foothills surrounding Columbia, where the transmitter site is located. The station is owned by Entravision Communications. History Early Years In the early 1990s, a construction permit was issued for a new station at 98.9 FM, to be licensed to cover the Sierra Nevada town of Columbia. The station was assigned the call letters KAGF on December 17, 1993, only to change to KTDO on September 30, 1994. Program testing began in 1995. After receiving its broadcast license on August 30, 1996, KTDO officially signed on with a power rating of 6000 watts, primarily in the direction of Modesto. The station's callsign was changed to KTDZ, on March 10, 2000. KHHM
KHHM (101.9 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Shingle Springs, California, and serving the Sacramento metropolitan area. It is owned by Entravision Communications and airs a Bilingual Rhythmic CHR radio format branded as "Fuego 101.9". KHHM, along with sister stations KNTY, KRCX-FM, and KXSE have their radio studios and offices on Auburn Blvd in Sacramento. KHHM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 47,000 watts. KNTY (103.5 MHz, Real Country 103.5) is a commercial FM radio station in Sacramento, California. The station broadcasts a classic country radio format and is owned by Entravision Communications. Its radio studios and offices are located in North Sacramento. KNTY has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. The transmitter is on S Street near 23rd Street in Sacramento. KCVR (1570 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Lodi, California. It airs Punjabi language programming and is owned by Punjabi American Media, LLC. Punjabi is a language spoken in parts of India and Pakistan. KCVR's programming is simulcast on KIID 1470 AM in Sacramento, KWRU 1300 AM in Fresno, KLHC 1350 AM in Bakersfield and KOBO 1450 AM in Yuba City. KCVR is powered at 5,000 watts by day, reducing power to 500 watts at night to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 1570. It uses a directional antenna at all times.
