KCLR 96FM is an Irish radio station which broadcasts to Carlow and Kilkenny in Ireland. It began broadcasting in May 2004. Schedule KCLR breakfast with John Walsh is a three-hour show from 7am to 10am and continues to be the most popular breakfast show broadcasting to this region. KCLR live is the news and current affairs show which airs from 10am daily covering all local and national issues. The daily lunchtime show is presented by John Keane from 12 to 3pm followed by KCLR Drive presented by Ken McGuire. KCLR Drive combines hit music with entertainment and traffic updates. Carlow
Carlow ( ; ) is the county town of County Carlow, in the south-east of Ireland, from Dublin. At the 2016 census, it had a combined urban and rural population of 24,272. The River Barrow flows through the town and forms the historic boundary between counties Laois and Carlow. The 2016 Irish general election took place on Friday 26 February to elect 158 Teachtaí Dála (TDs) across 40 constituencies to Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas, Ireland's parliament. The 31st Dáil was dissolved by President Michael D. Higgins on 3 February, at the request of Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
