Klubi i Basketbollit Prishtina (English: ''Basketball Club Prishtina''), officially known as Sigal Prishtina due to sponsorship reasons, is a Kosovar professional basketball club based in Pristina. The team currently competes in the IP Superliga e Basketbollit, Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL) and the FIBA Europe Cup. They are the most successful club in Kosovo, having won 14 national championships, 15 national cups and 7 supercups in the last 14 years. Since 2013 the club has competed in the Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), and they became the first Kosovar side to win the competition first in 2014–15 after defeating Bulgarian side BC Rilski Sportist in the finals. They would win the same competition the following season in 2015–16 in which they would beat Montenegrin side Mornar Bar in the final, to win this competition back to back as the only Kosovan Basketball club in the history at this competition. Kosovo Basketball Superleague
The Kosovo Basketball Superleague (Albanian: Superliga e Kosovës në Basketboll) and known as the ArtMotion Superliga due to sponsorship reasons is the top men's professional basketball league in Kosovo. Basketball Superleague was founded in 1991. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo. Prishtina holds the record for most Superleague titles as it has won the championship 14 times. Current teams Rules Competition format It consists of eight to ten teams which compete each year in two separate phases. Each team has to play all the other teams in its division four times, twice at home and twice away. This means that in Kosovo basketball, the league's regular season ends after all teams play 28 matches. At the end of the league, the four best teams in the standings start a play-off, pitting the first place team in the standings versus the 4th place team in the standings, and so on. Clubul Sportiv Energia was a Romanian professional basketball club based in Târgu Jiu, Romania. The club competed in the Liga I, the second tier of basketball in Romania. The club was founded in 2002 and was dissolved in 2016 after financial problems. History The team promoted to the First division in 2008, managing to finish 7th and qualify for the Romanian Cup semifinals in the first year in the Liga Națională. The 2016–17 FIBA Europe Cup was the 2nd season of the FIBA Europe Cup, a European basketball club competition organised by FIBA Europe. BC Beroe ( bg, БК Берое) is a Bulgarian professional basketball club based in Stara Zagora and plays in the Bulgarian National Basketball League. Edin Bavčić (born May 6, 1984) is a retired Bosnian professional basketball player. Professional career Europe Edin played for KK Bosna, which was the champion of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Basketball League in 2006. At the beginning of the 2008–09 season, Bavčić joined TBL team Antalya Kepez Belediyesi but later in the season, he joined the Basketball Bundesliga team Köln 99ers. The Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), also known as the Balkan League, is a multinational professional basketball league that features mostly clubs from the Balkans. The league included teams from countries as Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania and Israel. The most recent league champion is Hapoel Galil Elyon from Israel. Purpose The purpose of the Balkan International Basketball League is to provide competitive international play for clubs in the Balkans that would otherwise be unable to participate in international basketball.
