KBXD
KNGO (1480 AM) is a commercial Vietnamese full service radio station licensed to serve Dallas, Texas, and covering the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It calls itself "Viet Radio" and simulcasts its programming with KGOW (1560 AM) in Bellaire, Texas. Owned by Hammond Broadcasting Group, LLC, the KNGO transmitter is located off of South Saint Augustine Road in Dallas. History The station signed on as KGKO in 1952, which played a mixture of pop music and jazz. In 1958, KGKO changed its call sign to KBOX, adopting a Top 40 format to compete with Gordon McLendon's top-rated KLIF (1190 AM). The KBOX call sign was chosen because the station was owned by John F. Box. Future WABC disc jockey Dan Ingram was an early voice on KBOX. KJKK (100.3 FM) is a commercial radio station in Dallas, Texas and serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It is owned by Audacy, Inc., and airs an adult hits radio format known as "Jack FM." The station's studios and offices are along the North Central Expressway in Uptown Dallas. KJKK has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for most FM stations. The transmitter site is off Plateau Street in Cedar Hill, amid the towers for several Dallas-area TV and FM stations. KJKK broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format, with its HD2 subchannel playing classic country music and sports betting airing on its HD3 subchannel. KKDA (730 AM) is an American radio station in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The station is licensed to serve the community of Grand Prairie, Texas, and is owned by Scott Kim and Kimberly Roberts, through licensee SKR Partners LLC. On January 1, 2013, SKR Partners began operating the station under a local marketing agreement while the sale awaits FCC approval. Previously, KKDA was operated for many years by Service Broadcasting as a long-time urban oldies format. In addition, it carried UTA Mavericks men's basketball games beginning with the 2012–13 season. 730 AM is a Canadian and Mexican clear-channel frequency. Alvis Edgar Owens Jr. (August 12, 1929 – March 25, 2006), known professionally as Buck Owens, was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and band leader.
