Miloslav Kříž
Miloslav Kříž (29 May 1924 – 20 May 2013) was a Czech professional basketball player and coach. As a player, he played first for Uncas Prague, and later for Sparta Prague, but he was better known as a head coach and trainer, especially as the head coach of the senior Czechoslovakian women's national team. He was awarded the FIBA Order of Merit, for his services to basketball, in 2002. Playing career Kříž played for Uncas Prague, from 1940 to 1943, leaving to join BC Sparta Prague, in 1944, where he remained until 1948. Coaching career While still a player at Sparta Prague, Kříž began coaching both the club's women's team (from 1945), and men's team (from 1947). He finished in both of those roles in 1950, moving on to coach ATK Praha, for one season. In 1953, he returned to Sparta Prague, coaching the women's team for 11 years. Denisa Křížová
Denisa Křížová (born 3 November 1994) is a Czech ice hockey player for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) and a member of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team. Ice hockey career Across four years of college ice hockey with the Northeastern Huskies women's ice hockey program, Křížová put up 169 points in 143 games, the sixth-highest scorer in the university's history. Křížová became the first player born in the Czech Republic to be drafted into the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL; renamed PHF in 2021) when the Connecticut Whale selected her with the thirteenth pick overall in the 2017 NWHL Draft. She signed her first professional contract with the Boston Pride on 2 August 2018. Klára Křížová (, 13 July 1989) is a female alpine skier from the Czech Republic. She took part in the alpine skiing events at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She also competed in the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2009. Křížová opened the women's downhill in the 2010 Winter Olympics, but suffered a crash, in which she lost a ski pole, following this she was able to finish in 37, placing her as the slowest person to successfully complete the course at 2:09:27.
