Kırıkkale Büyük Anadoluspor Kulübü is a Turkish football club located in Kırıkkale, Turkey. History The club was founded under the name ''Türk Metal Gençlikspor'' in 1995 by the ''Türk Metal Sendikası'', a Turkish metal-worker union. An amateur club for their early existence, they were promoted into the Turkish Regional Amateur League in 2011. The club again changed their name to Türk Metal Kırıkkalespor'' in June 2015. They won the 2015-16 Turkish Regional Amateur League, and were promoted into the TFF Third League for the first time. Colours and badge The club colours are blue and red. Kırıkkale is the capital of the Kırıkkale Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. It is located 80 km east of Ankara which is the capital city of Turkey. According to the 2000 census, the population of the province is 280,834, of which 192,705 live in the city of Kırıkkale. The name of the city means ''broken castle''. The town of Kırıkkale is located on the Ankara-Kayseri railway near the Kızılırmak River in central Turkey. Formerly a village, it owes its rapid rise in population mainly to the establishment of steel mills in the 1950s. These works, among the largest in the country, specialize in high-quality alloy steel and machinery. Turkish Regional Amateur League
The Turkish Regional Amateur League ( tr, Bölgesel Amatör Ligi) is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 11-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 9 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces. League status Turkish Regional Amateur League contains 149 teams which participate in eleven groups. 1 of these groups contains 12 teams, 3 of these groups contain 13 teams and the remaining 7 groups contain 14 teams. At the end of the season 9 teams will be promoted to TFF Third League. These teams will be determined by a play-off which will be played between 26 teams who finish groups in top two.
