Günzburg (district)
Günzburg is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in Swabia, Bavaria, Germany. Its capital is the town Günzburg. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Dillingen, Augsburg, Unterallgäu and Neu-Ulm, and by the state of Baden-Württemberg (districts Alb-Donau and Heidenheim). History In the early Middle Ages the tiny county of Burgau ruled the region. In 1213 the county was acquired by the lords of Berg; it was then known as Berg-Burgau, but the last ruler of this collateral line died in 1301, and Burgau (now raised to the level of a margraviate) became an exclave of Austria. In the early 17th century the administrative seat was moved from the town of Burgau to Günzburg, but the margraviate retained its name. When the Holy Roman Empire ceased to exist in 1806, the margraviate was dissolved and the region was annexed by Bavaria. Dennis Chessa (born 19 October 1992) is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for SSV Ulm. Career Bayern Munich Chessa joined the Bayern Munich Junior Team from SSV Ulm 1846 in 2008, and made his debut for their reserve team in April 2010, as a substitute for Christoph Knasmüllner in a 3. Liga match against Borussia Dortmund II. He was not involved with Bayern II during the 2010–11 season, which saw the club relegated from the 3. Liga, but returned to the team the following year. In 2013–14 he was a regular in the Bayern II team that won the Regionalliga Bayern title, but missed promotion after a defeat against Fortuna Köln in the playoffs. Bavaria ( ; ), officially the Free State of Bavaria (german: Freistaat Bayern, link=no ), is a state in the south-east of Germany. Bayern Munich II
FC Bayern Munich II (''FC Bayern Munich Amateure'' until 2005) are the reserve team of German association football club FC Bayern Munich, they currently play in the Regionalliga Bayern. In 2010–11 they played in the 3. Liga, having qualified for its inaugural season in 2008, and have consistently played at the third level of German football (the highest permissible level for reserve teams) – they played in the Regionalliga Süd from its formation in 1994 to 2008, when it was usurped by the 3. Liga. They have generally achieved at least mid-table finishes at this level, and won the Regionalliga Süd title in 2004. In 2010–11 Bayern II finished last in the 3. Liga and was thus relegated to the Regionalliga. They afterwards regained promotion by winning the 2018–19 Regionalliga and won the 3. Liga in 2019–20.
