Kåre Øistein Hansen (8 November 1927 – 6 May 2012) was a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party. He served as a member of the Parliament of Norway during the term 1973–1977, representing Buskerud Buskerud () is a former county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. The region extends from the Oslofjord and Drammensfjorden in the southeast to Hardan ..., and was a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs. Background and career Kåre Øistein Hansen was born in Drammen, Buskerud, in Norway. He was the son of municipal social welfare officer Harald Bernhard Hansen (1894-1970) and textile worker and housewife Gudrun, born Hansen (1893-1989).
