Kåre Bluitgen
Kåre Bluitgen (10 May 1959) is a Danish writer and journalist whose works include a biography of Muhammad. In the 1970s Bluitgen was politically active on the Danish left, namely within the Left Socialists. Education and career Kåre Bluitgen received professional training in teaching and journalism, but has worked as a writer since 1994. His works includes a wide range of novels for both children, teenagers and adults. In addition, he has authored non-fiction, plays, films etc. Kåre Bluitgen has also worked as a translator, lecturer, publisher, and instructor in Folk High Schools in Denmark. Kåre Bluitgen has written both historical novels and fantasy, but often the themes of his books have been political, religious and philosophical. Bosch Fawstin
Bosch Fawstin (born July 31, 1970) is an American cartoonist and anti-Islam activist who is known for drawing the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Born a Muslim, his parents came from Albania. Fawstin left the religion and now describes himself as a "radical critic of Islam". He won a controversial Muhammad cartoon contest in 2015 that saw the Curtis Culwell Center attack take place. Early and personal life Fawstin was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City by Albanian Muslim parents. He says he "phased out of Islam" in his mid-teens when he "began to think about morality in a serious way ndsaw the contrast between Islamic values and American values", and that the September 11 attacks later was a turning point for him. The Muhammad cartoons controversy (or Muhammad cartoons crisis, ) began after the Danish newspaper published twelve editorial cartoons on 30 September 2005 depicting Muhammad, the founder of Islam, in what it said was a response to the debate over criticism of Islam and self-censorship. Islam in Denmark, Muslim groups in Denmark complained, sparking protests around the world, including violence and riots in some Muslim world, Muslim countries. Islam has a strong tradition of Aniconism in Islam, aniconism, and it is considered Islam and blasphemy, blasphemous by the majority of Muslims to visually depict Muhammad.
