Kytra Hunter
Kytra Tinisha Hunter (born October 25, 1991) is a former American artistic gymnast who competed for the University of Florida from 2011–15. One of Florida's most decorated gymnasts, Hunter is a 25-time All-American and a four-time individual NCAA national champion. She was a 2015 recipient of the Honda Award. Personal life Hunter was born to parents Kimberly and De-Forrest Hunter. She has one brother, DeForrest, who played basketball, football and ran track. She began gymnastics when she was 4 years old after her parents saw an advertisement in the local newspaper in South Carolina as she comes from a military background with her father serving in the Army for 26 years. Junior career Hunter qualified as an elite gymnast in 2006, winning silver medals in the all-around and vault finals of the Junior Olympic Championships. United States Women's National Gymnastics Team
The United States women's national artistic gymnastics team represents the United States in FIG international competitions. Currently, the U.S. team is the reigning World team champion and the reigning Olympic team silver medalists, with the four gymnasts nicknamed the "Fighting Four". History The U.S. women won the team competition bronze medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Afterwards, they did not win another Summer Olympics or World Championships medal until the 1984 when the Olympic team won silver. During that competition, Mary Lou Retton also became the first American to win the individual all-around gold medal. Bridget Sloan
Bridget Elizabeth Sloan (born June 23, 1992) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2009 world champion in the all-around, the 2009 United States national champion, and a silver medalist with the American team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. From 2012 to 2016, Sloan was a member of the University of Florida women's gymnastics team, which has won three consecutive NCAA National Championships titles. She is also the 2013 NCAA national champion in the all-around and on the balance beam, and the 2014 NCAA champion on the uneven bars. In 2015, she became the first University of Florida gymnast, and the seventh NCAA gymnast, to score a perfect 10 on each of the four events. At the 2016 NCAA Nationals, her final championship, she won the all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam titles. Southeastern Conference
The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States.
