Kyprios
Kyprios is the stage name of David Coles, a Canadian hip hop musician. Career Formerly associated with the musical collective Sweatshop Union, he now records and performs exclusively as a solo artist. He appeared on all of Sweatshop Union's albums up to and including 2008's '' Water Street'', as well as releasing three solo albums, ''Say Something'' in 2004, ''12:12'' in 2009 and ''The Midnight Sun'' in 2014. ''Say Something'' was nominated for the Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year at the 2005 Juno Awards, and his song "Ignorance Is Beautiful" was nominated for the Genie Award for Best Achievement in Music – Original Song at the 2005 Genie Awards. In 2010, he was named the winner of CKPK-FM's Peak Performance Project, a contest for emerging musicians in Vancouver, winning over second-place finishers Said the Whale.

Sweatshop Union
Sweatshop Union is a Canadian hip hop collective based in Vancouver, British Columbia, consisting of four politically-minded rap acts — Dirty Circus, Pigeon Hole (aka "Creative Minds"), Kyprios and Innocent Bystanders. Known for their socially conscious lyrics, Sweatshop Union's music comments on issues ranging from the war in Iraq, the plight of the poor and working-class, to the negativity and misogyny of mainstream hip-hop. Peak Performance Project
The Peak Performance Project was a seven-year, $5.2 million music initiative funded by the Jim Pattison Group, to provide financial support to emerging Canadian artists in the British Columbia and Alberta markets. Juno Awards Of 2005
The Juno Awards of 2005 were held 3 April at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba and were hosted by comedian Brent Butt. Avril Lavigne and k-os won three awards each, while Billy Talent and Feist (band), Feist won 2 apiece. Nominations were announced 7 February 2005. The Tragically Hip were this year's Canadian Music Hall of Fame recipient. Dan Aykroyd was originally scheduled to present this honour, but inexplicably cancelled several days before the awards ceremony. Sarah Harmer presented the Hall of Fame award in his place. Both Aykroyd and Harmer have ties to the Kingston, Ontario community in which The Tragically Hip are based. The Stampeders
The Stampeders (sometimes shortened to Stampeders) are a Canadian rock trio consisting of lead guitarist and vocalist Rich Dodson, bassist Ronnie King and drummer Kim Berly. History Formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 1964 as the Rebounds. they had five members: Rich Dodson, Len Roemer, Brendan Lyttle, Kim Berly, and Race Holiday.
