Kymberly Pine
Kymberly Marcos Pine (born September 8, 1970) is an American politician and Democrat who served two terms on the Honolulu City Council representing District 1 from 2013 to 2021. She was the Chair of the Council Committee on Business, Economic Development and Tourism. Prior to being elected to the City Council, she served as a Representative to the State House of Representatives for four terms. On October 28, 2019, Pine announced her candidacy for Mayor of Honolulu. Early life and education Pine grew up on the North Shore of Oahu. Her father is a professor of philosophy at the University of Hawaiʻi and Honolulu Community College. Her mother is a retired nurse of Spanish, Filipino, and Chinese descent, born and raised on Oʻahu. Ewa District, Hawaii
ʻEwa was one of the original districts known as ''moku'', of the island of Oʻahu in Ancient Hawaii history. The word ''ʻewa'' means "crooked" or "ill-fitting" in Hawaiian. The name comes from the myth that the gods Kāne and Kanaloa threw a stone to determine the boundaries, but it was lost and later found at Pili o Kahe. Kirk Caldwell
Kirk William Caldwell (born September 4, 1952) is an American politician who served as the mayor of Honolulu, Hawaii, from 2013 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Caldwell also held the position of acting mayor in 2010 following the resignation of Mayor Mufi Hannemann. Caldwell announced that he would be running for the Democratic nomination in the 2022 Hawaii gubernatorial election in September 2021, but withdrew the following May. Career Caldwell represented the 24th Representative District in the Hawaii State House of Representatives of the Hawaii State Legislature from 2002 to 2008, serving as the House Majority Leader between 2007 and 2008. Katherine Kealoha
Katherine Puana Kealoha is a former Deputy Prosecutor with the City and County of Honolulu and a convicted felon. She resigned from the position of deputy prosecutor in September 2017 after she and her husband Louis Kealoha were indicted on eight counts of bank fraud. Her husband is a former Chief of Police. Education Kealoha grew up in Kahalu‘u, on the windward side of Oahu. She attended high school at the Mid-Pacific Institute. ''MidWeek'' is a weekly United States tabloid shopper and advertisement periodical published in Honolulu, Hawaii and distributed throughout the Islands of Oahu and Kauai. It is owned by Black Press and is a sister publication of the ''Honolulu Star-Advertiser''. History The shopper started in 1984 to provide advertisers with an alternative way to reach more customers. David Alexander Pendleton (born February 2, 1967) is a former Minority Floor Leader of the Hawaii House of Representatives, from 1998 until 2002. As a member of the Republican Party, he served four two-year terms (1996-2004) as a state representative for Kailua and Kaneohe.
