Kym Ruddell
Kym Ruddell (born 19 July 1955) is an Australian former professional tennis player. While competing on tour, Ruddell appeared in every Australian Open from 1974 to 1980. She was most successful in women's doubles, reaching the semifinals twice and the quarterfinals two times. Ruddell was runner-up to Judy Tegart-Dalton at the 1975 Australian Hard Court Championships. She was also a doubles finalist in two WTA Tour level tournaments during her career. The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's Circuit. Diane Desfor
Diane Desfor (born June 15, 1955), is an American former tennis player who was active in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Her best result at a Grand Slam singles event was reaching the third round at the 1981 Wimbledon Championships with she lost in straight sets to seventh-seeded Billie Jean King. At the three other Majors she reached the second round in singles. In doubles, with partner Barbara Hallquist, she reached the quarterfinals of the US Open in 1979 and 1980. In December 1979, she won the doubles title at the New South Wales Open with Barbara Hallquist. In June 1981, she reached the semifinals of the singles event at Surbiton, which she lost to Hallquist in three sets. Desfor won the WTA Player Service Award in 1980 and 1982. Barbara Jordan (born April 2, 1957) is an American former professional tennis player who won the 1979 Australian Open singles title. Jordan also won the mixed doubles title at the 1983 French Open with Eliot Teltscher. Jordan was a three-time All-American at Stanford University, where she obtained her degree in economics in three years. Betty Stöve
Betty Flippina Stöve (born 24 June 1945) is a Dutch former professional tennis player. She is best remembered for reaching the ladies' singles final, the ladies' doubles final and the mixed doubles final during the same year at Wimbledon in 1977. She also won ten Grand Slam titles in women's doubles and mixed doubles. Career Stöve began playing tennis internationally in the mid-1960s. She made her Grand Slam debut at the 1964 Wimbledon. A virus, complicated by a malfunctioning thyroid gland, forced Stöve out of tennis for an 18-month period in the late 1960s. Despite being advised that she should never play tennis again, Stöve recovered to have her best years on the circuit. Evonne Fay Goolagong Cawley (née Goolagong; born 31 July 1951) is an Australian former world No. 1 tennis player. Goolagong was one of the world's leading players in the 1970s and early 1980s. Patricia Lynn Bostrom (born November 25, 1951) is an American former professional tennis player. She is better known as Trish Bostrom and after tennis became a lawyer in Washington. Bostrom grew up in West Seattle and attended the University of Washington, winning the Pac-8 singles title in 1972. While at the university she was an advocate for gender equality in collegiate sports and successfully sued to be able to try out for a spot on the men's tennis team. The Toyota Classic is a limited-production model produced by Toyota in 1996, and was styled after the Toyota AA of the 1930s-1940s (which was a visual copy of the Chrysler Airflow). It used a fifth generation Toyota Hilux, type GA-YN86 rear-wheel-drive frame, with a two-litre 3Y-E engine producing and . Its interior was taken from a contemporary Toyota, but made more consistent with the car's exterior by the addition of wood to the dashboard and leather to the seats. (This was similar to the work carried out by companies such as Mitsuoka.) Toyota sold 100 of the cars and charged roughly US$75,000 for each of them.
