River Kym
The River Kym is a river in Cambridgeshire, England. It flows through the village of Tilbrook, to Kimbolton, and joins the Great Ouse at St Neots. It is known as the River Til in its upper reaches, tributaries include the Pertenhall Brook. Course Rising right on the Northamptonshire-Bedfordshire border at the west of the parish of Newton Bromswold, it flows north-east to cross into Bedfordshire at Yelden and then into Cambridgeshire at Tilbrook. Turning south east, it divides the town of Kimbolton in two and runs past Kimbolton Castle to Stonely. It next flows past the parish church of St Andrew to the west of Great Staughton, encircling the village to the south. Kym Richardson
Kym Charles Richardson (born 16 March 1958) is an Australian politician. He was a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives between 2004 and 2007, representing the South Australian electorate of Kingston. Early life Richardson joined the South Australia Police (SAPOL) at a young age, serving in the elite Star Force unit for thirteen years. Investigated for unethical behaviour while a police officer he was precluded from receiving the National Medal, but he did receive the Police Service Medal (a SAPOL award). Richardson shared his police career with a number of other activities, only resigning from the force upon entering federal parliament in 2004. While actively involved in police duties, he also played Australian rules football for the West Torrens club, and spent several years coaching local teams. The ''khim'' ( th, ขิม ; lo, ຂິມ ; km, ឃឹម ) is a stringed musical instrument derived from the Mesopotamian or Persian Santur. It is similar to the Hammered Dulcimer or Cimbalom. This ''khim'' was introduced to Thailand from China, where a similar (though, since the late 20th century, usually larger) instrument is called ''yangqin,'' and introduced to Lao and Cambodia from Thailand later. It is played with two flexible bamboo sticks with soft leather at the tips to produce a soft tone. This instrument can be played by either sitting down on the floor with the khim on the floor, or by sitting on a chair or standing while the ''khim'' is on a stand.
