Kyle Schwarber
Kyle Joseph Schwarber (born March 5, 1993) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Indiana Hoosiers and was a first-round selection in the 2014 MLB draft by the Chicago Cubs. He made his MLB debut with the Cubs in 2015 and has also played for the Washington Nationals and Boston Red Sox. He helped the Cubs win the 2016 World Series over the Cleveland Indians, ending their 108-year drought. Known for his powerful, hard-hit home runs, Schwarber led the National League in home runs during his 2022 debut season with the Phillies, winning his first Silver Slugger Award and contributing to their appearance in the 2022 World Series. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). Runs Batted In
A run batted in (RBI; plural RBIs ) is a statistic in baseball and softball that credits a batter for making a play that allows a run to be scored (except in certain situations such as when an error is made on the play). For example, if the batter bats a base hit which allows a teammate on a higher base to reach home and so score a run, then the batter gets credited with an RBI. Before the 1920 Major League Baseball season, runs batted in were not an official baseball statistic. Home Run
In baseball, a home run (abbreviated HR) is scored when the ball is hit in such a way that the batter is able to circle the bases and reach home plate safely in one play without any errors being committed by the defensive team. A home run is usually achieved by hitting the ball over the outfield fence between the foul poles (or hitting either foul pole) without the ball touching the field. Far less common is the "inside-the-park" home run where the batter reaches home safely while the baseball is in play on the field. In baseball, batting average (BA) is determined by dividing a player's hits by their total at-bats. It is usually rounded to three decimal places and read without the decimal: A player with a batting average of .300 is "batting three-hundred". Middletown High School is a public high school in Middletown, Ohio. It is the only public high school in the Middletown City School District. The present location of the school was established in the fall of 1969, being moved from its original location at 1415 Girard Avenue. The old high school was converted to Middletown Middle School for the remainder of its life until it was demolished in September 2018.
