Kyle Sampson is a fictional character from the CBS daytime soap opera ''Guiding Light''. He was played by Larkin Malloy from 1984 to 1987. Kyle was the result of an affair between Cardinal John Malone and Sally Gleason. He was the President of Sampson Industries which caused him to become an enemy to both Alan Spaulding and Billy Lewis. Thomas Larkin Malloy (September 24, 1954 – September 29, 2016) was an American soap opera actor, announcer, voice-over artist and acting teacher. Early life Malloy was born in New York City, the third child of John and Theresa (née Larkin) Malloy, both Irish immigrants. He had one older brother, Patrick Malloy, and one older sister, Maureen Malloy. Career He began his acting career in 1974 while he attended Iona College and acted in Off-Off-Broadway plays. Pam Long
Pamela K. Long is an American writer and executive producer. Long won several Emmys for her work on CBS soap opera ''Guiding Light'' from 1983 to 1990. She was also writer and executive producer on the NBC film Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors, ''Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors''. Career Before writing and acting, Long won the title of Miss Alabama in 1974 and competed for the title of Miss America 1975. At the time, she was attending the University of North Alabama, and was involved in the Phi Mu sorority. He was played by Christopher Bernau from the time of the character's introduction in 1977 until 1984, and from 1986 to June 1988, when Bernau left the role due to health problems.
