Kyle Jones (politician)
Kyle W. Jones (born 1955) is a professional musician, archivist and is a former Maine state politician, from Bar Harbor, Maine. He is notable for his influence on the state's energy industry. Background and musical career Born in Bar Harbor to a pianist mother and a drummer father, Jones grew up surrounded by music. He sang in the local church choir through high school and began playing bass guitar at age 12. He has performed widely, including before the United Nations, alongside such jazz notables as J. Eric Johnson, Steve Hunt, Premik Russell Tubbs and Hal Russell. In 1995, Jones released a recording of his composition ''Meltdown'', on the CD of that name, in honor of his happenstance visit to Three Mile Island, on the night of March 28, 1979. Kyle Jones (born October 4, 1986) is a former Canadian football linebacker. He was signed by the Toronto Argonauts as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played CIS football for the Bishop's Gaiters after playing for the Woodlands Rams. On June 20, 2010, Jones was released by the Argonauts. He rejoined the Argonauts on August 9, 2010 when they signed him to a practice roster deal, but was released by them again on August 31, 2010. Kyle Jones (born November 15, 1984, in Hamilton, Ontario) is an Olympian and former professional triathlete from Canada. He represented Canada at 13 World Championships and 5 Major Games competitions including the 2007, 2011 & 2015 Pan American Games, the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2012 Olympic Games in London. His career highlights include 3 National Championship titles, multiple ITU World Cup medals and a 6th place finish at the 2012 ITU World Championship Grand Final in Auckland, New Zealand. At the 2012 Summer Olympics men's triathlon on Tuesday, August 7, he placed 25th. Now retired from competitive sport, Kyle enjoys life in the Niagara region of Ontario with his wife and two sons.
