Kyle Hamilton
Kyle Hamilton (born March 16, 2001) is an American football safety for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame, where he was named a consensus All-American in 2021 before being drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. Early years The son of professional basketball player Derrick Hamilton, Hamilton was born in Heraklion, the capital of the Greek island of Crete, on March 16, 2001. His father is African-American and his mother is Korean. He briefly lived in Russia before moving to the Atlanta area after his father retired from the sport. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. In gridiron football, a sack occurs when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as a passer) is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing a forward pass, when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage in the " pocket" and without clear intent, or when a passer runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage due to defensive pressure. Derrick Hamilton (basketball)
Derrick Lamont Hamilton (born May 20, 1966) is a former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at the University of Southern Mississippi in the late 1980s. Hamilton was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the third round of the 1988 NBA draft but was not signed to a contract. He would later play for several teams in Europe. Professional career Hamilton was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the third round of the 1988 NBA draft but did sign to a contract with them. Despite not making the NBA, Hamilton had a long career in European leagues. He had a notable career in the Greek League playing for Sporting, AEK Athens, Apollon Patras and Irakleio. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone.
