Kyle Austin
Kyle Armani Austin (born Oct 18, 1988) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for Club Nacional de Basketball of the Uruguayan Basketball League. He played collegiately at USC and then transferred to UC Riverside. Early life and high school Austin was born to parents Carol Austin and Greg Ware in Pasadena, California. Austin attended Pasadena high school where he went on to be San Gabriel valley player of the year in consecutive seasons. He led his team to the CIF division 2 championship game where they lost in the final to Compton Dominguez. Austin received state player of the year honors becoming one of only two players to do so on the losing team. College career Austin signed to University of Southern California where he was given a scholarship made available due to the tragic death of then USC point guard Ryan Francis. Manuel Dominguez High School is a four-year public high school located in Compton, California. It is part of the Compton Unified School District. Name Dominguez High School is named after Don Manuel Domínguez, a California rancher. Domínguez inherited from his father José Cristobal Domínguez over 75,000 acres which was originally granted to his father's uncle Juan José Domínguez by the King of Spain in 1784. Ryan Francis
Ryan LeChanc Francis (March 17, 1987 – May 13, 2006) was an American college basketball player. At the time of his death, he was the starting point guard for the USC Trojans. He was murdered during a trip to his hometown in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after his freshman season at USC. College career As a freshman, Francis was the starting point guard during the 2005–2006 season for the USC Trojans and averaged 7.1 points, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He ranked seventh in the Pac-10 Conference in assists and fifth in steals which was good enough to make the honorable-mention pac-10 all-freshman team selected by the conference coaches. His jersey number was 12. It has been suggested that after basketball he planned to enter coaching or work with criminals. The Liga Nacional de Básquet (abbreviated LNB, and literally in English, "National Basketball League"), also commonly referred to as "La Liga de Básquet" ("The Basketball League"), is the top-tier level of the Argentine basketball league system.
