Kyla Ross
Kyla Briana Ross (born October 24, 1996) is a retired American artistic gymnast and current assistant coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team. She is the first female gymnast to win NCAA, World, and Olympic championship titles. Ross was an elite gymnast from 2009 to 2016. She was a member of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics; dubbed the Fierce Five, the squad won the gold medal in the team competition. Ross was the 2013 world all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam silver medalist. At the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, she was a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. team and the all-around bronze medalist. Gymnastics is a type of sport that includes physical exercises requiring balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance. The 2010 Pan American Gymnastics Championships were held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The final of the women's artistic team all-around competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena in London on 31 July 2012. Eight teams qualified for the final, from a total of twelve that competed in the qualifications round. Each team was composed of five gymnasts. In the final, each team selected three gymnasts to compete on each apparatus. All three scores on each apparatus were summed to give a final team score. The United States team, known as the Fierce Five, finished first in qualifications and won the gold medal in the final. Russia won the silver, and Romania won the bronze. It was Romania's 10th consecutive Olympic medal in the event, a streak that started in 1976.
