Kvidinge IF
Kvidinge IF is a Swedish football club located in Kvidinge situated in Åstorp Municipality, Skåne County. Background Kvidinge Idrottsförening were formed on 13 June 1913 and from their inception to well into the 1930s specialised in athletics. Football was played only sporadically and it was not until 1931 that the club for the first time participated in a league. Since their formation Kvidinge IF football club has participated in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club's first major football success was 1941–42 when the club won Skåneserien Division 2. It took until 1962 before any further success when they won the Skåneserien Division 6, a feat that was repeated again in 1967. In 1972 Kvidinge IF won the Division 5 and gained promotion to Division 4 Skåne Nordvästra. Kvidinge
Kvidinge is a locality situated in Åstorp Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 1,854 inhabitants in 2010. It is famous as the death site of Charles August, Crown Prince of Sweden in 1810. Crown Prince was inspecting the Scanian Hussar Regiment troops on its training ground Kvidinge Heath at Kvidinge when a dizzy spell caused him to fall from his horse, where he died of a heart attack. Svenska Cupen (, ''The Swedish Cup'') is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. Svenska Cupen usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system. The winners qualify for the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League. The winner is awarded Gustaf VI Adolf Cup.
