Kvelertak (album)
''Kvelertak'' is the debut album by the Norwegian band Kvelertak, released on 21 June 2010 through Indie Recordings. The album was released in North America on 15 March 2011 through The End Records with six bonus tracks—four live recordings from the group's BBC sessions and two demo tracks. After performing in Oslo, Norway on 24 June 2011, Kvelertak were presented with a gold record certification by Indie Recordings and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters (the headlining band of the concert). ''Kvelertak'' was certified gold by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry for selling more than 15,000 copies. Kvelertak
Kvelertak () is a Norwegian heavy metal band from Stavanger, formed in 2007. The group comprises vocalist Ivar Nikolaisen, guitarists Vidar Landa, Bjarte Lund Rolland and Maciek Ofstad, bassist Marvin Nygaard and drummer Håvard Takle Ohr. Founding member and lead singer Erlend Hjelvik left the group in 2018, being replaced by Ivar Nikolaisen. Most of Kvelertak's songs have Norwegian lyrics, and their main influences are rock and roll, black metal and punk rock. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 2010 and sold more than 15,000 copies in Norway. The second album, ''Meir'', was released in 2013, followed by '' Nattesferd'' in 2016 and '' Splid'' in 2020. ''Splid'' was the band's first album with Ivar Nikolaisen on lead vocals. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) is the organisation that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. Trap Them
Trap Them was an American hardcore punk band formed in Salem, New Hampshire in 2001. They released five studio albums and five EPs, including a split EP with Extreme Noise Terror. History Trap Them began in 2001 as a side-project for Ryan McKenney, who at the time was the vocalist of Backstabbers Incorporated and Brian Izzi, a brief second guitarist Backstabbers Incorporated, and consistent member of December Wolves. The pair first met as employees of Newbury Comics in Salem, New Hampshire. Taake () is a Norway, Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1993 and originally named Thule. The band's one continuous member is Hoest, who writes all and records most of the music. Baroness is an American heavy metal band from Savannah, Georgia, whose original members grew up together in Lexington, Virginia. History Formative years (2003–2007) Baroness formed in mid-2003, founded by former members of the punk/metal band Johnny Welfare and the Paychecks. Singer John Dyer Baizley creates the artwork for all Baroness albums, and has done artwork for other bands. Much of their early material was written by John Dyer Baizley and Pete Adams at a music store in Savannah and then later in a small apartment.
