Kučka
Laura Jane Lowther, known professionally as Kučka (stylised in all caps; pronounced ; Serbo-Croatian for "bitch"), is an English-born Australian singer and producer. Lowther is known for her solo works, in addition to her collaborations with Flume, Vince Staples and ASAP Rocky. She has been praised for her "dreamy, forward-thinking, electronic pop songs" and her "delicate beats, and ethereal vocals". Her debut album, ''Wrestling'', was released on 30 April 2021. Early life Kučka grew up in Liverpool. She said she found it a strange place to grow up in, and said "I wasn't very creative when I was there". At 16, Kučka moved to Perth, Australia. ''Wrestling'' is the debut album by English-Australian singer and producer Kučka. It was released on 30 April 2021 via LuckyMe and Soothsayer. It was preceded by the release of singles "Drowning" and "Real" in 2019, "Contemplation", and "Ascension" in 2020, and "No Good for Me" and "Eternity" in 2021. The album cover and the singles' music videos were shot and directed by Kučka's wife and creative director, Dillon Howl. The album features co-production from Australian musician and longtime collaborator Flume, British producer Vegyn, American producer Nosaj Thing, and UK duo Exmoor Emperor. "Smoke & Retribution" is a song by Australian DJ and record producer Flume. It features vocals from American rapper Vince Staples and Australian singer Kučka. It made its debut on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show and was released on 29 January 2016, by Future Classic. The track is taken from Flume's second studio album, ''Skin''. Background Flume explained that he had started work on this song in the back of a van on the way to Las Vegas in mid-2015. Flume said, "It wasn't originally intended to have rap on it. Vince and I got to meet in person for the first time in L.A. in September, and that's when I showed him the beat... a few weeks later he sent back new verses for it. ''Hi This Is Flume'' is the first mixtape released by Australian electronic musician Flume. It was released on 20 March 2019 by Future Classic. The mixtape follows the release of Flume's '' Skin: The Remixes'' in 2017.
