Kuwait's Second Constituency
The second constituency of Kuwait is a legislative constituency in Kuwait. Like the other four constituencies in Kuwait, it elects exactly 10 members to the National Assembly via plurality vote. As of 2022, it currently represents eighteen residential areas and has an electorate of 90,478 (the smallest). The Hawalli and Capital governates are divided between the first, second and third constituencies. The former Speaker of National Assembly, Marzouq Al Ghanim is a member of this district. National Assembly (Kuwait)
The National Assembly ( ar, مجلس الأمة) is the unicameral legislature of Kuwait. The National Assembly meets in Kuwait City. Political parties are illegal in Kuwait, candidates run as independents. The National Assembly is made up of 50 elected members and 16 appointed government ministers (ex officio members). Overview The National Assembly is the legislature in Kuwait, established in 1963. Its predecessor, the 1938 National Assembly was formally dissolved in 1939 after "one member, Sulaiman al-Adasani, in possession of a letter, signed by other Assembly members, addressed to Iraq's King Ghazi, requesting Kuwait's immediate incorporation into Iraq". Demographics Of Kuwait
This is a demography of the population of Kuwait ( ar, سكان الكويت). Expatriates account for around 60% of Kuwait's total population, with Kuwaitis constituting 38%-42% of the total population. The government and some Kuwaiti citizens consider the proportion of expatriates (which has been relatively stable since the mid-1970s) to be a problem, and in 2016 the number of deportations increased. Shuwaikh Industrial Area ( ar, الشويخ المنطقة الصناعية) is an area of Kuwait City in Kuwait. It comprises three separate districts: Shuwaikh Industrial-1, Shuwaikh Industrial-2, and Shuwaikh Industrial-3.
