Kurtis MacDermid
Kurtis MacDermid (born March 25, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). MacDermid won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in 2022. He is mostly known as an enforcer. Playing career MacDermid first played junior hockey with the Owen Sound Greys in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. He was selected in the 2010 OHL Priority Draft, 139th overall by the Owen Sound Attack. He later made his debut in the Ontario Hockey League with the Attack in the 2011–12 season before signing as an undrafted free agent to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings on September 13, 2012. The Los Angeles Kings are a professional ice hockey team based in Los Angeles. Sauble Beach, Ontario
Sauble Beach (pop. 2000) is a beach community and unincorporated area in the town of South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce County, in the northern area of southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is on the Bruce Peninsula, along the eastern shore of Lake Huron, on the north edge of the Saugeen First Nation. The beach takes its name from that given by early French explorers to the sandy Sauble River, originally "La Rivière Au Sable" (sand river) also indicating that the river emptied into Lake Huron at a sandy beach. Paul MacDermid
Paul MacDermid (born April 14, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played 690 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Hartford Whalers, Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals, and Quebec Nordiques. MacDermid was selected 61st overall in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft by Hartford. He played his junior career with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League. His oldest son, Lane was selected by the Boston Bruins in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Lane scored his first career NHL goal exactly 31 years after the same was done by Paul.
